A very charming and easy to play game with the bonus of being more complex than you think! Played it for a good half hour or so already and I think this is going to be a firm "I've only got half an hour" game favourite. Music, graphics, controls,
and overall gameplay harks back to when gaming was new and fun!

Fallout 4, in SPACE, with awesome graphics and that cheeky Bethesda humour. I'm only 17 hours in so haven't uncovered any breaking bugs (yet) but it bends my brain that the game is not able to expand to ultrawide monitors... other than that, I LOVE IT!

This is basically Destiny 2 and The Division 2 mixed together, with the best bits of both!

The story is pretty cool, and the skills/abilities are VERY tactical - and I'm still only level 5 :)

Recommend.

Haters be SILENT! OK, so it's not Aquanox 1 or 2, nor is is Archimedean Dynasty, but it's jolly good fun and extremely reminiscent of the genre.

The controls are a bit twitchy, so I recommend using a gamepad or joystick, but if you loved the others (like I did!) it's really NOT a disappointment.

That said... why can I only save when I'm undocked? Makes no sense... but that's my only niggle so far :)

This is a bit of a roller-coaster, so bear with me as explain my love/hate relationship with World of Warships...

The great:
The graphics look amazing!
You can drive enormous ships around islands and pew-pew-pew other enormous ships from huge distances
The community is mostly great people who also want to pew-pew-pew other ships
There's a genuine sense of progression at the start of the game
The events! Always good fun :)

The good:
There's a bewildering array of in-game currencies that kind of allow players to advance
Captain choices are almost as important as ship choices
From battleships to submarines there is something for everyone's play style

The bad:
Pay to win cripples and real sense of progression or achievement after the new player honeymoon
"Bought" ships are so OP that it makes the other ships kind of pointless
The only way to undo many player choices is with paid-for in-game currency

All that said, I keep coming back to World of Warships as the blend of simulation and arcade gameplay is great.

If you're after a proper old-school RPG, with a post-apocalyptic theme, then this harks back to the original fallout series - but with MUCH better graphics and gameplay!

I fondly recall playing Star Control I and II WAAAAY back in the day, and whilst Star Control III was disappointing, I didn;t let it put me off these classics.

I am SO glad I've upgraded to Origins! It has all the gameplay, excitement and story of Star Control II, but with so much more! I'm already very much into exploring and making allies :)

You'll have to work at this game to play it right, but the effort is worth it.

Definitely recommend!

I've played the game a fair bit now and, overall, it's very entertaining.

I'd think a quick description of it is an odd minecraft/Elite Dangerous mash-up.

I'm aware that a lot of people have suffered a nightmare with the game and, until the latest Geforce driver update, I've experienced the odd crash/slow down, but it's stable now.

My one piece of advice would be to use the chips to search planets for crashed ships to fix, as buying a 30+ slot ship will set you back a LOT of units :)

Enjoy exploring!

Fallout 4 completely makes up for the disappointment that was Fallout 3.

The story is interesting, the world is more open and has more variety, there are completely new mechanics and - best of all - the combat engine has been tuned to perfection!

Whether you're a charmer, a brainac, a brawler or a surviver, Fallout 4 has plenty of challenges and opportunities.

I honestly can't recommend it highly enough.
