Installing this excuse of a video game title will give your computer malware.
On a serious note, this "game" has many issues that will most likely never be fixed. However, the game can attain to some players, which is why I am going to go over the top 3 reasons should not play planetside 2.

1. New player experience is awful.

The game does attempt to give new players a tutorial which teaches them the most basic understanding of how the game actually functions. After they "learn" about the mechanics of planetside, they are then thrown straight into the game with only a basic directive tree to teach them the ropes. I would be alright with this idea if the game had a ranking system, but in planetside, you can face anyone from new players to the best players in the entire game right away. What this creates is a mix between vets and new recruits, which is not only frustrating for older players, but boring to play against.

2. Balance

Oh my, I do not even no where to start on this one. There are some notorious weapons, implants, and classes in this game that are known for being overpowered. I will not go into detail about every single one of these, as I could talk about them for days on end. However, I will tell you that they ruin infantry play when presented on the battlefield. Some cause camera shake that make you dizzy. Others one shot you beyond your render distance. Some have stats beyond what they should have. They all suck. Not to mention the implants that are pay to win because of their drop chance.

3. Performance

I am going to make this one short. To attain a competitive FPS, you will need a beefy computer. When I say beefy I mean a custom built PC with all the latest specs, and even that wont net you performance in large fights. The engine the game was made on runs as bad as minecraft does on your microwave oven. The animations are choppy, inputs feel slow with low performance, and there are so many bugs its impossible not to find one playing.

My conclusion

If you have made it this far in my short review I want to conclude by telling you a few last things. Many of the devs have been laid off meaning this game is losing more leverage that keeps it alive. Many of the players are toxic, disrespectful, and are not welcoming. Finally, after playing for probably about one thousand hours, I can tell you this game will not help you improve your FPS performance, and only cause you sadness rather than fun.
