If you like building factories, whether it's mom's spaghetti or some contemporary art, this game is for you.
If you like Factorio and thought "How difficult could it be in 3D anyway ?", this game is for you.
If you need a heater during winter, this game is for you.
If you love community mods, this game is for you.

It's fun, it's addictive, and before you know it, you're b-deep in a multi-story building of interlinked production lines.
So you decide to clean it up, make everything properly aligned, going minimalistic even.

Then you realise you haven't slept in three days but it's alright, watching your perfectly aligned conveyers gives you some zen-like energy.
But then, there's a power outage. Because who tf builds an entire factory with coal generators as their energy source anyway ?
You devote your next days to building a perfect fuel generator setup that yields over 5GW with a single source of crude oil.

You just keep doubling your factory size and adjusting your energy production accordingly.
You finally get to the endgame after hundreds of hours of sweat and tears, most of it used to clean your sh*t.
You feel proud of yourself.
Right until you see your reflection in the mirror and ask yourself "At what cost ?"

Then you go back to your factory cuz you've got more nuclear facilites to build, you're good at this sh*t and f* sleep anyways.

I should've started playing this game 10 years ago wtf.

The game is fun to play and that's what I'm rating.
That being said, the drama around this game is substantial and legitimate.

EDIT July 29th:

The ranked matchmaking system is utter trash. Like absolute trash. Humane AI pin level trash.
I feel like I'm either playing against bots or with them. One match is an insanely easy win, the one right after is strictly impossible to win.
As a healer, there's absolutely nothing you can do if your tank misses half of their brain. Which they often do.
Any criticism will immediately get you racist slurs, that's the bare minimum.
15k DMG + 20k Heal. ? You'll still lose.

• The universe created by Ankama is simply put gorgeous.
  Their unique style is timeless and effortlessly speaks to children and adults.
  
• The turn-based combat system is simple to understand yet takes some time to master.
  
• Each race has 5 classes, each of these classes offer multiple ways to play them.
  Whether you want to tank, support or be your team's glassCannon, you have multiple ways to do so.
  
• The game is under intensive development, several bugs have already been fixed including random latency bugs.

• The group is limited to 3 players, I would have really prefered this to be at least 4.
  
• The lack of a "linear path" makes the game interesting but can be confusing at first.
  
• You cannot click on icons to cast a spell and there is no tactical mode so you need to be careful where you click.
  
• Similarly, your Attacks depend on when your movement ends and sometimes you can missclick and land in front of the enemy without attacking it.
  It would be cool to have the option to attack an aligned enemy if we didn't attack yet instead of hardLinking that to the player's movement.

The Battle Pass

• Renews every month but costs 7€ minimum as you also have a premium option on top of the "classic" paid one.
  This is 3€ less than the average BP, sure, but also a 3x shorter time period before you get to buy the next one.
  
• You cannot grind the game and buy it either, you need to pay with actual money.
  
• It doesn't reward buyers like Fortnite, Apex or other games do.
  (i.e: buy it once, get the next for free if you complete all the levels of the current one)
  
• The rewards depend on your level and that isn't public knowledge.
  Meaning you could waste half of them when you start playing if you instantly take them when available instead of waiting for the BP's last day for example.

It's just really slow, not optimised and filled with campers.
You want anything in this game ? Pay.
You want to have fun ? Play another game.

This game's developers either don't understand sh*t about mathematics or they gave up on the game.
Either way, devs clearly are not in charge and the marketing team is going full goblin mode.

• According to their blog post, their new ranked system (S16) was too generous, so they nerfed the points system like you've never seen it.
  You now earn 4x fewer LPs for a Top 1 with 10 kills.
  
• Again, according to that blog post, their objective is to make the game more competitive.
  I'm not a native english speaker, but in my lexic "competitive" isn't a synonym for "ratting".
  Your final position in the game gives you more LPs than any amount of kills you could have.
  
• In every ranked system in the world, the higher you're ranked the higher the stakes.
  Yet, in S17, you had to pay 35LPs whether you were Bronze IV or Diamond IV.
  
• Some bugs have persisted since Season 1, but they don't bother fixing them.
  That being said, a glitch allowing people to play with Heirloom skins without paying for them was patched in a matter of 48 hours.
  
• Respawn's servers have asthma.
  I mean, you can't empty a magazine on someone, see them take no damage regardless of the audio cues and visual hit effects, and then tell me servers are alright.
  
• Audio became useless after the PS5 update back in 2021.
  People can literally land next to you and run up to you without you ever hearing them.
  
• You cannot play with friends that are more than 1 rank apart from you.
  Yet, every single game I've played after Gold IV had Master and/or Predator players in it.
  
• There are high grounds that should be out of bounds but are inbound every single season.
  This is clearly the sign of a lack of tests, how can you import assets in your game and not make sure they're out of bounds where they need to be ?

Excellent work

This game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic if you've got the hardware to play in Medium / High settings @60-75 FPS stable
