Early Access Review
After playing enough to see the ending (?) I can say with confidence that this is every bit the lovely game I'd hoped it would be. Thanks Kevin Cole, the last good thing you did for me was put this game on my radar.

Plugging things together and making them work is super satisfying, seeing the cables stretching across your rig from one part to another is great. Combined with the superb sound design, this makes it all a delightfully tactile experience.

My only misgiving is that it mostly feels like the only modules you can put into the time capsule are passthrough ones, the others don't feel anywhere near as satisfying to take back out later. But it's early access, I'm sure they'll figure something out for the others. (That is, assuming you can put them in at all)

All in all, I would strongly recommend this game! My friends, please play it and enjoy!

(PS: I miss when the game was called Slopper Johnson: Graviton Agent, haha~)

Unfortunately, this is Rogue Tower. Forever.

I hope whatever the dev left this to pursue is treating them well.

Unfinished game, miserable QoL.

The first person mode was a nice little touch at least, I'm glad they left that on.

It is a very nice game, though trying to get the last achievement was too hard for me. Excellent game for occupying your mind without actively stressing yourself out.

Waiting and hoping for more content 🙏

It's good. Hurts your head. It's good.

For real though, I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone that likes... Uhhh... Pain? Haha, no wait, come back!

It's got good music, a great aesthetic, and like... Fifteen decks to choose from? It hurts a lot to get destroyed over and over without any feedback as to what you're doing wrong and what you could do better (I guess the game expects you to figure all that out yourself?) but it sure is satisfying when you get whatever disheveled mess you've thrown together to actually function.

Fun fact: the entire game is just a tutorial for the postgame! I encourage you to make it there, things certainly get special after you've seen the credits roll.

It's for sale on Chrono right this very moment for like $3.99 , just get it. I promise you won't regret it. Don't expect to beat it on anything but the lowest difficulty, though! A herculean task, to be sure.

I love this game. It's grown and changed so much for the better during the beta, I can't wait for the full release!

It's just fine for a game that's free.

Love the art, love the music, love the mechanics, love the loot, love the... Hmm... Well, I'll admit I'm not a fan of the time limit mechanic. Definitely feel that I've gotten my money's worth out of the game though, would reccommend.

This game is like that food that's spicy enough to make you think really hard about a glass of water, but you can still get along fine without one.

Aesthetic: Yes.
Writing: Also yes.
Gameplay: Yes yes.
Sound: Very yes.
Feel: Hella yes.

I made those yeses (wow that's a weird plural) ascend for comedic effect, but in reality I hold all of these aspects in equally high regard. This game has left a pumpkin-shaped mark on my soul. A good one, not like a sign of trauma.

Buy it somewhere other than steam, though. Conventient platform, but not great for developers.

You get a Steam key from it there, so you can still play it here, too. It's also getting a nice content update soon! I would definitely recommend getting it during the obligatory thanksgiving sales (hopefully Itch has a sale then, too.)

A few bits of advice on things that I didn't pick up on despite playing it for such a long time:

-The symbols in corpse descriptions are the effects you would see from forging them into weapons/equipment.

-Locking a character in the select screen keeps them as an option (Until you pick them!)
