This game had the writing on the wall saying it'd either come out bad or not come out at all & it defied expectations & ended up being better then Bendy And The Ink Machine in every way though the combat still leaves alot to be desired. Wish I could say more but it's one of those you should really experience the game for yourself situations & the developers should really add a block button.

For reasons outside my understanding this has & probably always will have the second highest playtime of all my games on Steam. & I'm ok with this.

Pizza Titan Ultra Review

Pizza Titan Ultra or the Crazy Taxi/Jet Set Radio/Blast Corps of mech based pizza delivery games (I have no idea what that means tbh with you) is a game, (brilliant observation there) where you are trying to save the world or you're just meet some random person's odd requests while delivering Pizza or are just trying to deliver as much pizza & get as much money as possible under a time limit.

Gameplay & Level Design

Gameplay is simple but addictive & a tun of fun!
All there really is to it is a simple combat system of 3 different punch maneuvers, a stomp maneuver, a slide kick, a drop kick, & a special ability.
Each of them are satisfying to use on enemies & the environment, & all you ever really do in each level is deal with hordes of enemies, while trying to deliver pizza, with specific objectives you need to do, &/or under a time limit.
It sounds simple & it is but it does that so well & the level design & variety of enemies keeps it interesting as each level is quite radically different from the last in terms of design if not assets, with each for the most part being fun to navigate & learn, with each enemy in them requiring different strategies & approaches to deal with them.

Characters & Story

The Story & characters are odd, fun, & diverse.
The characters are (in one way &/or another) references to something or multiple things making them not all completely original but the writing is what sets them apart from what they may be based on.
Story wise the game is not trying to take itself seriously (which should be obvious since you are delivering Pizza's with a giant war mech & your competition is trying to kill you with an army or robots) It's well written & genuinely funny most of the time.
There's not much more to say on it without spoiling anything suffice to say it's great!

Graphics & Music

Graphics are surprisingly good for a game by a small studio.
Everything is stylized & well detailed with plenty of great effects that make everything you do even more satisfying.
Some minor out of place things you'd probably never notice or pay attention to unless you're me.:-)
You of course can design your mech to look the way you want it to with a wide arrange of great looking parts.
The Music oh yes the music, all is of it great & fun to listen to but this I can let speak for itself.

Issues

Mostly just nitpicks & things to be expected of a game of this size from such a small studio but otherwise the game is solid & mostly bug free.
Sometimes enemies won't always behave like they're supposed to in a few levels.
The Free Delivery Challenges aren't the most well balanced with the ones that give you more money being more random than based on where the level is on the map. That should hopefully be solved once the devs have more input than me on this or I could just not be changing my strategy enough level to level.

Final Thoughts

This game is at least worth trying & it is most definitely worth playing, beating, & getting all the achievements in.

A game that I consistently come back to & play for hours on end since it's that good. I could write my usual why it's great review but that make this review longer than any book in history.:-)

Why Not Recommended?

A suprisingly large number of easy to preform game breaking bugs that you'd expect in an alpha and not a full release which I will go into more detail in the gameplay section of this review.

What is Viktor?

Viktor is a 2D Twin Stick Shooter Platformer with minor Metroidvania elements in which you'll be going through levels finding new weapons, upgrades, and killing lots of enemies as you search for everyone who betrayed the legion and the one who turned them so you can kill them.

Story (has no effect on my opinion of any game)

Story isn't anything spectacular it's a run of the mill you were betrayed by your allies and now you're hunting them down to kill them, save the world, and your friend.

Graphics (has no effect on my opinion of any game)

Graphically it's a vey nice looking game. Enemy variety texture wise is lacking as most enemies appear in all the levels without a slight retexturing to make them fit more with the level but otherwise the game looks excellent and the enemy thing is nitpicking.

Gameplay (the only thing that affects my opinions of games)

This game is more or less a clone of Bleed gameplay wise but it does enough to differ itself from Bleed. When it comes to being a twin stick shooter it's excellent the dash to dodge mechanic is well executed and the shooting is enjoyable. The dodge/dash mechanic will allow you to phase through thin walls and dodge all projectiles and attacks quite easily. The Metroidvania elements leave a lot to be desired as the aren't that well hidden and none of the items you find are required to beat levels or find other items there's also is very little reason to go back to previous levels to find stuff due to the lack of things to find so it's hard to consider this a Metroidvania. Platforming is meh there are a few areas where it does try to change it up but otherwise it isn't going to challenge you so there's no real benefits to using a controller. Now game breaking bugs are a huge issues as they're very easy to accidentally pull off and some will happen randomly and all require a level restart. First I ran into is when dashing into a wall at the wrong angle or if you're not close enough to phase through the other side you'll occasionally you'll be clip out of the map with no way back so you'll be forced to restart the level. One miniboss will (the one who bounces around) will sometimes during the fight vanish rendering the fight unwinable so you'll have to restart the level. On occasion a boss or yourself will get stuck unable to move and unable to take damage forcing you (you guessed it) to restart the level.

In conclusion Viktor is an excellent game and idea but is held back by a myriad of game breaking bugs that you'd expect in a pre alpha that should have been fixed immediately after discovery.

I recommend that you buy heavily discounted or that you get Bleed instead.

Heartfelt Speech
(Skip to bottom for pros and cons)
Feel free to tell me what I may have missed

You know back in the day when consoles were the only devices I played games on this was my favorite game to play on the PS2 so much so I played it until I broke the disk. Fast forward to 2015 I played Battlefront EA and didn't like it which made me want to play Battlefront 2 again so I looked around and saw it was on Steam on sale so I bought it and ended up playing it for 14 hours straight which alone is 4 more hours than I bothered to put in Battlefront EA in a week. While Battlefront EA may have the better graphics and sound design Battlefront 2 has everything else and I'd Battlefront 2 still looks good. Battlefront 2's gameplay holds up so incredibly well, (I'd say it's superior than any shooter to come out during the 7th or 8th gen as of the writing of this review) the fact this game supports mods increases it's lifespan exponentially, and the game is a blast to play in single player with all the modes available in single player and multiplayer unlike Battlefront EA and it's rather lackluster single player offerings.

Pros:

Great gameplay and gameplay variety with many different modes, maps, vehicles and classes you can play and more that can be added through mods.

Large npc/player count for single player and multiplayer with a max player count of 64 and an npc count of 256 depending on the gamemode (which can be increased through mods I believe).

Great soundtrack and sound design.

Graphically it's aged well.

Mod support and dedicated community.

Cons:

Graphically inferior to Battlefront EA.

Sound design inferior to Battlefront EA.

Rather small number of people playing it.

Multiplayer servers shut down. (there are other ways to play Battlefront 2 online though I imagine getting a full game isn't easy)
