At first, you will probably find that C:MO has a very steep learning curve if you are new to realistic wargaming simulation, but it's totally worth it. It also has comprehensive tutorials and a manual covering almost all aspects of the mechanics to help you learn and progress.

I've been a big fan of the older version C:MANO (Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations). With C:MO, I'm extremely happy with the integration and addition of some revolutionary, groundbreaking features such as TacView and the mind-blowing Sentinel satellite map, which offers a clarity level down to spotting individual facilities at air and naval bases, something that was not possible before without too much extra work.

Furthermore, a configurable version of C:MO (which is officially known as the Command Professional Edition) is used by the US Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, US Pentagon, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, German Air Force (Luftwaffe), Royal Australian Air Force, UK's Royal Marines, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Royal Airforce, British Army, and various other military contractors, including several NATO and allied military services, as well as multiple state, private, and NGO organizations worldwide.
