As a long time gamer and user of Virtual Reality i gotta be honest here...

This is the most fantastic horrible great game i have ever played. Now you gotta be wonderin' how something can be all those things at once. Let me give you my personal list.

Fantastic bits:

It's VR so immersion can go absolutely through the roof and in some cases bridge into reality in strange ways. MOST of the communities in this social game of games and experiences are absolutely great and welcome genuine questions and simple newcomers alike. Most anyone can find this as an easy means of proxy to interact with those of similar mind or debate with those that differ, from the most obscure furry to the most dedicated political christian, regardless of distance and location; OR just to simply meet new people. Also, with this games simplicity (Generally speaking) its very easy to just pick up and go have fun with. And with it's insane popularity it's near impossible to not find a guide or instructor for those who wish to dive deeper into custom models and intractables and even world creation.

Horrible bits:

Now with all the above being said there will forever be bad actors. Even in the most wholesome or "normal" of places there are the dangerous, weird, and wild. And even in some cases, whole communities dedicated to making the experience as bad and unusable as possible. You will inevitably run into these "Crashers" and "Trolls" no matter how hard you may try to avoid them. And with such anonymity given and the admittedly simple ways you have to get rid of said bad actors, there is little you can do except ignore them or block them and hope they actually just leave you be. But this is ultimately the reality of our world so it is in some ways expected.

Great bits:

I have been gaming since i knew how to turn a tv on so i have a broad band of tastes and experiences through these many years and i must say... This game is a trip. For those who were around back then, it holds close to me like Garry's Mod. A wild experience with random and crazy memories made in the heat of a fantastic moment with friends or even enemies, despite its bugs and shortcomings. And for those newbloods out there who weren't around for the GMod craze, this is the ultimate wild ride far beyond your fortnight's and GTA's. This will be the game you bring up in ten years about that "One time" if you just really stick with it and make a mark. this is one of so few games i can genuinely recommend to anyone. From the shy to the outgoing, from the maniac to the brainiac i wholeheartedly recommend this game.


Ah, and a smiple warning for the few who may read this whole thing. Everything has a bad or dark side. This is a social game and very easy to use and abuse like any drug or good experience. No matter where you may be or what you are doing, be wary. These are real people with truths and lies, plans and motives.
