Edit: STILL can't recommend this mess of a game. Smurfs dropping 50+ kills in every comp match on one of the teams. Nothing worth playing other than QP and then even barely. Matchmaking needs a severe overhaul, but EOMM still exists so that wont ever happen.

Ruined another gaming chair.

In the early moments of this game, I wanted to recommend it to as many people as possible for the fun combat, beautiful visuals, decent localization and plethora of interesting and varied classes. However, as the game dragged on, I became numb to the mediocre story, pacing, and many collection systems (mostly optional and for min/max purposes) of the game. I reached max level well before the endgame, and had to sit through several more hours of pointless and unvaried A to B quests, auto-pathing a boat between island locales when I finished a zone. The end game is about what you'd expect from any free to play MMO these days. Dailies, dungeons, bosses, obtain the best gear you can, and slam enhancement materials into it to get it as many + numbers as you can (RNG included). Overall this game is uninspired and suffers from a lot of slowing down (at least during the questing aspect) that many modern MMOs have done away with, such as running between two NPCs that are 5 feet apart several times, clicking through many lines of dialogue that could all be in one, unskippable cutscenes, carry an object from point a to point b, and "stealth" missions. I genuinely believe about half of the story missions in this game could easily be omitted and the story and the leveling experience would both stay intact and I feel like in its current state it is only a deterrent from people finishing the game. Is it a bad game? By no means. Many people enjoy this kind of content and I think players of Black Desert and the like will enjoy this one as well. However, it doesn't do much any other MMO out there doesn't already do. This one just does it with (sometimes many) more steps.
