The game is very faithful to the original and delivers the same atmosphere and charm that made the classic so great. It feels amazing to experience the story and gameplay in a modern presentation with updated visuals and sound design. The nostalgia is strong and the core mechanics still hold up incredibly well, making it a joy to play from a design perspective.

The downside is the performance, which is shockingly bad for a remake of this scale. On an RTX 3070 paired with a Ryzen 5600X in 1440p, stable 60 FPS can only be achieved with a mix of low and medium settings while forcing DLSS to performance mode. Even then there are noticeable drops and stutters that break immersion. For a game running on Unreal Engine 5, the optimization is far below expectations and feels rushed. The experience is bittersweet because while the game itself deserves praise, the technical state makes it hard to fully enjoy. Unless you are a hardcore fan, it’s better to wait and see if proper patches and optimizations are released.

Spiel ist artistisch bestimmt eine Wucht. Movement macht auch Spaß. Die Performance ist jedoch ein Witz. Ein Indie-Game das mehr demand hat als Elden Ring. Nein danke.

One of the best games of this decade, but honestly im just here to fight against the review bombing since Playstation gave up on account linking for now. These devs deserve better than this crossfire!

Dragon's Dogma 2 impresses with its blend of linear levels and a constant sense of exploration, featuring quirky interactions like grappling monsters and toppling bridges mid-battle. Every corner holds secrets waiting to be discovered. However, the post-release introduction of microtransactions and lingering performance issues mar an otherwise exceptional experience in this triple-A single-player title priced at 70 euros.

I cant recommend buying this game so far. The potential is there, but Inflexion has a lot work to do. Especially considering they want to release the final product in a year, which isnt very likely tbh. Graphical bugs, enemey and companion a.i are pretty janky, the long grind for even the simplest structures and im not even talking about the always on problem. I hope they can turn this around in the next months, because the framework is definitely there.

My first impression is very positive. The colonization setting is quite fresh and unexplored. The double A charm is felt with every step and, for me, it's a clear recommendation for purchase. No microtransaction nonsense and cash grab mechanics. Just a good game with a profound storyline and excellent storytelling. The characters are relatable and appear authentic. Performance is top-notch from day one. I'm curious to see where the journey leads, and I want more.

Just here to counter all this stupid customers, downvoting the game because of multiplayer crash, 5 minutes after release. Even final versions of most triple A multiplayer games suffer from this. 🤡

This game is an awesome example how a remaster should look like. Its like playing the Original with nostalgia glasses on. Excellent quality of life additions and it looks so good. I recommend this masterpiece to every old JRPG-Fan. Dont matter if you played it or not. It still holds up to modern day games and often is way superior.
