It has potential. All it requires is fixing the buggy zombies and performance issues, and adding a downtown city map, and not some rundown power plant back country area.

That being said, I am disappointed. I got this for free and I still regret having it in my library due to the state it was released in.
There is absolutely zero excuse for what was done.
"We want to create the game with player feedback." - No. That does not fly anymore. You wanted to cash out immediately. The playerbase has mostly abandoned it now, with a peak of 140 players.
I'm sure there's devs who are extremely passionate about this project...but their dreams have been pre-emptively assassinated by a C-tier executive demanding more money.

Why? Because you buy unfinished Early Access slop. You ignore valid criticisms due to the sunk cost fallacy. You lap up the toxic AAA industry garbage.
How do you think your God will judge you? Well, friends; now we know.
When there is no more room in Hell, middle-managers and shareholders will walk the Earth. And they will give you games like these.

While I understand this is an Early Access title, this game is seriously underbaked at this time.
There's weird sound glitches, the visuals themselves are nothing spectacular at 'epic' settings, and the combat feels needlessly punishing on the 'adventure' difficulty mode, or whatever it was called. There's only two, story and that one.

I don't quite get where the story is going. You start off with no memory of anything, yet your character can explicitly deny/approve of some statements when being questioned during a trial in the first 10 minutes?
It's extremely disjointed. Either my character remembers nothing at all, or at least fill me the hell in on what exactly I know.

That, and the writing is very...flat. I expected Arcanum 2, but at this moment it's not there, and I don't think it will be at any time. Your responses can only be summarised as the most cookie-cutter generic dialogue.

"all war is bad"
"I am so sorry"
"SHUT UP"
"die, lesser lifeform"

Only worsened by the fact that at 1920x1080, the text is weirdly blurred. Either that or we're forced to roleplay as an astigmatic and this is supposed to be immersive.

Hard pass. Might come back in 2 years when this is 75% off. Stop using Unreal Engine. It sucks and barely any game created on it is fun to play.

A true, crafted with love, spiritual successor to Gothic 2.
Rewards exploring, punishes pride, and delivers an astonishing experience.

It's filled with a myriad of little touches and out-of-the-box thinking.
Ludicrously packed with interesting quests, you just need to get past the kind of boring 2m intro sequence, as the game opens up its huge world immediately after that.

You can buy a lyre and play tunes, you can fish, craft, hunt, fight. There's also choices present, which is a big selling point in RPGs.

Character and gender customization is also in, which is all around awesome to see.
Whole heartily recommended.

Update after having beaten it: There's only two endings, but the journey was fun. I still enjoyed it every step of the way. Hopefully the sequel improves on this powerful foundation.

X-COM 2 meets Cyberpunk 2077. You even get to make a main character/yourself but cybercool.
A wild mix that I never would've imagined but the game has so much potential and is already pretty damn fun to play.

Constant content updates, devs that are very active on the discussion tab, a clear roadmap.
Early Access done right.

I have faith in this title and can't wait to gorge myself on the full product like a scavenging baboon on a pack of gummy bears.

Very disjointed, no clear design was thought of during creation. It takes the fun bits of Stoneshard but also a lot of the bad ones.
Multiple systems that do not interact with each other well, a painfully slow tutorial that makes you walk back and forth doing 10 fetch quests.
Crafting can only be done at a personal storage box, leading to multiple transfers of items back and forth and waiting until an NPC meanders over to do the task.
Very RNG-tilted combat with misses, fumbles and critical hits. For some this is a plus, for me it's more of a malus.

But most importantly, the starter portraits are terrifyingly ugly. To get more of them, you have to find corpses with ID Tags and then make a new character, restarting your playthrough so you don't look like an ogre.

What kind of brain-dented idea is that? Why do you have to clear progress just to change an icon? I tried everything from save editing, to item spawning but there is no way around it.

Was expecting better, horribly disappointed.

The price is a bit steep but not by much. I'd wager $9 is a fair price instead of the $14 that's being asked now, but $5 one way or another won't break anyone's bank I don't think.

Now, onto the meat: this DLC lets you play as the most underrepresented faction-member in Warhammer: 40,000 history.
Namely, an Adepta Sororitas.

You get a good selection of weapons which feel fun to slash or shoot with (eviscerator + boltgun combo, my beloved).
The voice acting is not bad like another reviewer was saying. It's just a very sane Battle Sister which is VERY reminiscent of a female Sith Inquisitor from Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Nothing can beat Selena Agna from DoW: Soulstorm, yes, just like Brian Dobson who voiced the Space Marines in the DoW series. They are magnificent and set a bar that no one can surpass for now.
Still, the VA is not bad. She's just calmer than one would probably hope her to be, but how would an utterly fanatic Sister of Battle even get to join the Inquisition? She'd be too busy purging every living thing in a 250km radius from a primitive, accidental chaos shrine built entirely by random wind and rain.

The Act of Faith is a cool mechanic because it's malleable to your tastes, and flexibility is key for ARPGs.
Transforming into a Living Saint lets you shred bosses almost immediately and provides a good backup option for dealing with massive hordes.

I'd still recommend it, either now or on discount. If you're a fanatic like me, help me show Games Workshop that we want more content for Battle Sister players. There's precious little.

I've never attempted to do art seriously before I found this program, and holy damn.

My progress is steadily increasing and I can actually create things that don't look like they were drawn by a 6 year old. In a few months of daily practice, I might even feel confident enough to post my art publicly.

The UI is intuitive and eye-pleasing.
The tools are incredibly varied and you even have an auto-outline option if you're lazy/don't enjoy manually placing every pixel (personally, I find creating an outline and shading to be fun and rewarding).
There's a plethora of tutorials both on YouTube and the Steam guides section and the fact this even includes an animating tool and sprite sheet exporter means your creations can be showcased/utilized immediately.

I cannot recommend it enough. It awoke the artist in me and actually pushes me towards mastering a skill.
