Definitely worth the price especially on sale. It's a fairly predictable story so don't expect anything crazy from it. Lots of charm put into the game but gets repetitive towards the end and won't overstay its welcome if you're decent at the game. I can't speak for the additional dark mirror content however, I chose to avoid it as I've heard the bosses become quite spongey and there's no more upgrades for Skul (the player character) at that point to ease the difficulty.

I thought to give this a chance and ignore all the negative reviews, responses, and what not just to play a round or two with a friend I know but turns out I can't even create/connect a battle.net account to my steam one because the authenticator doesn't believe I'm a human.

It's painfully average I would say and I experience frame drops / micro stutters while playing. The amount of initials descendants (characters) you can use is fine but the grind for them is excessive. Most of the missions are samey which is expected in a looter shooter but the enemies all kind of blend together based on the lack of tactics needed to get through them. Inventory capacity limit stifles a lot of fun as well and the social networking side is abysmal but it is cross-platform so that's cool.

The time investment doesn't feel worthwhile after a normal 2-hour session of play in this game.

It's great but has issues with it. Storytelling is abysmal. The Online connectivity issues have made a return and some people have optimization problems.

Still no covenants or incentives for helping out rando's or invading other players. Bosses have even less windows of opportunity to get attacks in on so to be efficient you have to rely on summons.

The environments and enemy variety are arguably better than the base game although expect to find a bunch of recycled dragons. Equipment design and items you find are overall superb.

Unga Bunga builds will have the best time here. The only reason I'm leaving it not recommended is because of the price AND the final boss.

I'm not even into football but the characters, colors, and skills make this a fun little time spender. I think it should have had a little mini campaign mode and charged 10$ instead of being an always online game however. You can tell there was love making this cause you start the game with more than half the roster of characters.

Making my temporary positive review to help balance out some of the negative reviews for this title. The majority of the complaints don't have to do with the gameplay or the story. The issues are primarily with the optimization of the title and fps stability.

The game itself is stellar. Exploration feels fun, fighting feels fun, progressing quests don't feel forced, pawns are talkative but not overbearingly etc.

Lastly, the MTX items are worthless.

Shadow wizard money gang.

Don't follow the arrows. Screw the narrator.

It's a charming game but I wouldn't recommend not getting it on sale especially if you're not a hero.

If you think this game has a lot of positive reviews now... wait for the definitive edition.
