I can't believe Dunkey tricked me into playing Monolith.

I don't know what to say about this game because I have no idea how to play it.

Gotta be honest I've been putting this off and I'm motivated by the stupid false points steam is offering me for the game awards.

But that's the subtle trick, the cards and how they lie. The motivation and the tell.
This game will ruin you mentally and emotionally but will not touch your wallet.
This game should distribute coins for 12 steppers and preventative addiction credits because I don't have gambling debt and it's thanks to this game.

I was super apprehensive about liking this game. Not too into poker. Not pleased by the look of the game.

One of the WORST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games around.
This game used to bring me so much joy. I like to play everything, but they have destroyed every format. There is no where to run anymore except far away from the game as a whole. It's unfortunate and I will still occasionally hold paper commander games at my house where we can curate the cards involved. But overall this game has gone to hell and there is no coming back.

Update: I played for an additional 47 hours and it's even worse somehow so I'm never playing this ♥♥♥♥ again. I thought maybe they would make something right but it's long past due.

I have gone back and forth on this game a lot and I think it's due for an update on it: It's great, it's finally hit an equilibrium on par with the state of release (The good parts of it) where you can access the online easily, it's mostly bug free, and each weapon feels unique and powerful depending on how you want to tackle a situation. They have finally figured out that you just need to adjust weaknesses and set consistent levels among the different factions in the game. And now that they have ported over a very popular faction from the previous game I'm all in baby. More fun than I've had in a long time. Thank you very much devs, you made this old citizen extremely happy.

I got to play this game when it was on itch.io and it was the most surprising title I have picked up to date.
I never thought that a game with this much artistic vision and solid gameplay could come together to create a true masterpiece.
I think for a long time when asked what my favorite platformer is, I will tie them up in my basement and make them play this game.

As someone who has played years of D&D tabletop this is quite possibly the best game I have ever played and may just replace the tabletop for me.

Edit: It's still my favorite game. I was encouraged to update my review for the game awards. I know it won a bunch of physical awards, I want this game to gain all the accolades it possibly can because I know this company is good for it. I want DLC, I want more, I want to show that this behavior is well rewarded.

I put off getting this game for a long time, I think I regret waiting.
The community is toxic but also hilarious.
The gunplay is probably the most premium I have ever witnessed in a video game. I love their community modes that they switch in every so often.
Overall this is a simple formula, you will recognize how to play immediately, but getting around the corners, learning what it takes to be decent at this game. That's the adventure.
This is a thinking-man's shooter. But on the occasion you tune out and drop in without a plan...
You will feel Glorious.
