DOOM is a nostalgic important game that really pioneered the videogame industry specifically the FPS genre. Later on we would get games like Hexen, Duke Nukem, Quake etc.

This game was way ahead of its time. It has great level design with alot of secrets, a variety of weapons to use, different demons to fight, cool sound effects and an awesome soundtrack. It was weird seeing a game with pseudo 2D sprites in a 3D enviroment especially as a kid but it works well. The music also plays via MIDI (technically a Roland SC-55) but sounds great and has that signature sound that fits with the game. Despite how old the game is it has this very creepy atmosphere to it especially in some areas with very little to no lighting at all.

The Ultimate DOOM is an updated version of the original 1993 version which adds in another episode called "Thy Flesh Consumed" amoung other new updates to this version. I would highly recommend DOOM Ultimate and install some mods to the base game like Brutal Doom or Zandronum to make the experience better (the base game runs on the DOS version so theres no steam overlay)

Im really impressed with DOOM 2016. This is how you properly reboot an old videogame series.

Ive been a fan of DOOM since the original like many other fans and I really enjoyed DOOM 2016 for many reasons. The game itself seems to takes inspiration from both 1993 DOOM and DOOM 3 but also has its own original story and plot. The graphics are fantastic and the animations are smooth and fluent. Many of the classic weapons return but brand new weapons are also introduced. Alot of classic demon enemys return and new ones are introduced as well.

The gameplay is from the first person perspective; you run, shoot, strafe around the levels like a classic DOOM experience. The actual movement in the game feels more like im playing quake which is actually a plus in my opinion. The reason it feels more like quake to me is because of the climbing mechanics, strafeing and the double jumping ability you get later on. Glory kills were introduced in this game and they are very satisfying to perform and watch. The powerups return from original DOOM as well as medkits and armor. The game is very challenging on the higher difficultys too.

Mick Gordon really captured the vibe of DOOM with a heavy metal and dark grungy electronic style soundtrack. The sound design itself is also amazing, from the weapons to the demons to the atmosphere sounds and much more.

Highly recommend picking up DOOM 2016. If you want a classic doom experience while playing DOOM 2016 ide recommend turning off all the gui in the settings menu (except maybe the health and armor hud and simple crosshair) and putting the classic DOOM FOV on.

Im pretty hyped for DOOM Eternal as well.

Killing Floor 1 was a great game and ive played close to 80 hours of that game since 2009. Killing Floor 2 is basically a worthy successor to the first game in every way.

Killing Floor 2 adds in a ton of new content such as:
-More maps (old and new + steam workshop user created custom maps)
-Tons of new weapons (new and returning)
-Returning Zed enemies and new unique zeds
-Multiple boss fights (not just the patriarch anymore)
-Return of the perk system (as well as new perks such as SWAT, Gunslinger and Survivalist)
-Awesome soundtrack (new composers as well as Zynthetic returning from KF1)

The relative gameplay is very much the same from the first game but the visual upgrade is amazing. The game runs on a specific build of Unreal Engine 3 (supposedly modified) and it feels more like im playing the game on Unreal Engine 4. The animation system is revamped, the zed models and playermodels look even better than KF1, the textures are well made and the sound design alone is great.

I highly recommend getting Killing Floor 2.

Early Access Review
Wallpaper engine is great. It's easy to use and does not use up any CPU resources at all. It also takes up very little space on a harddrive. Its great to have a program that can handle fully animated video backgrounds with music, sounds, and interactivity without having to worry about your CPU bogging down.

Its worth the money, i recommend it.

Bought Crysis 2 when it first came out back in 2011 via a physical copy. Back then i had issues running the game but nowadays i can run it no problem on my new gaming rig. I lost my physical copy so i bought the maximum edition on steam.

Im a fan of scifi futuristic stuff with first person shooter elements and the Nanosuit was the coolest thing ive ever seen visually and it was represented well game mechanic wise in the Crysis games. Just the attention to realism detail Crytek put into the Crysis series when it comes to the futuristic science, the weapons, aliens etc is what got my attention and the story in 2 continues the story from where the first game left off. Despite Crysis 2 being Linear compared to Crysis one being non linear (with a more open world) i actually enjoyed the levels in Crysis 2 despite the drastic setting change from the Lingshan Islands to New York.

Despite the game being 7 years old today, it still looks and feels brand new due to CryEngine 3; its seriously way ahead of its time and is one of my favorite game engines next to the Unreal Engine. The Graphics, Animations, Sound Design and everything is top notch.

Highly recommend Crysis 2 especially since its on sale. Crysis 2 is worth the money playing through the singleplayer alone; its a long campaign and i really enjoyed it. The Multiplayer doesnt work anymore but i always felt the multiplayer was tacked on and wasnt that good.

Joint Operations was the first military game i ever played; long before i knew about or played games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. My friend recommended it to me way back in 2005 so around 13 years ago. I also still have the physical cases from the initial release of the game. We basically ran a clan back in those days and had alot of fun with other people/clans.

This game was incredibly revolutionary for its time in my personal opinion. From the graphics and animations to the sound design and music. The amount of content in the game is crazy which ranges from a ton of weapons of all gun types to alot of vehicles (air, land and sea) as well as hundreds of buildings, foliage, props etc. The game offers alot of gamemode types and the interface/server browser is easy to use. Its also amazing that this game was able to support 150 to 300 players in one server at a time. I used to play in a server called Dustbowl which would be an all out war scenario across islands with 300 players and i never had any connection issues or lag issues. Coop was probably the most fun and my favorite gamemode.

Joint Operations already has alot of core base content from Typhoon Rising + its Escalation expansion pack however my favorite thing though is the mod expansions. IC Mod (International Conflict) & IC:E (International Conflict Europe) were mod expansions not made by Novalogic but the fanbase itself which has even more content added to the game which extended the lifespan of Joint Operations.

NILE was a map editor for the JO engine and its incredibly user friendly and easy to use. You can create your own custom maps and the best part about the maps in this game is they are infinite which again was revolutionary for 2004 imo so it gives the user creative freedom to do whatever they want.

There are still players as well as real military veterans playing the game to this day which is great to see.

Combined Arms is definitely worth the money especially since its on sale; highly recommend you guys buy it and check out IC Mod and IC:E mod on the internet if you want even more content out of the game.

Heard about Vanquish a long time ago after i found out shinji mikami directed it and that platinum games worked on it. So i finally bought the PC port on steam.

The gameplay of Vanquish is wicked fun, consisting of third person shooter elements and platinum games melee style combat. My favorite thing in the game (like many others) is the slideboosting mechanic; it adds variety and molds well with the other mechanics of the game.

The PC port runs smooth on max settings for me with constant 60 fps for ingame gameplay. Theres only a slight drop in frames in cutscenes but other than that it runs fine. For 2010 the graphics and animations look great and even better because of the pc port imo. I use a PS3 controller to play but the PC controls are good as well.

As for the rest of the game, theres not really much to talk about with the story and characters or music. Its not bad of course but its kind of just there at the same time; the characters and story didnt stand out to me personally or some of the music, however i did enjoy some of the futuristic tech and futuristic designs. For Vanquish i focused more on the gameplay aspects.

In the end i really enjoyed Vanquish though despite the game being really short (5 hours for my playthrough) i definitely recommend Vanquish to anyone.

I used to play this Worms game all the time back in the Nintendo Gamecube days. This was a very fun, entertaining, and nostalgic entry to the series with the transition to 3D. This PC rerelease looks great and runs smooth on my PC. Definitely recommend it especially since its on sale currently; buy it for your friends too.

Big MGS fan and have played MGS1 to MGS4 and Peacewalker. How is MGSV? Heres an overview that will be spoiler free.

Story/Plot/Characters: The story is actually really interesting and has nice throwbacks, cameos, and eastereggs however later on the story kinda just feels "there" you can tell it was unfinished and there was content cut or missing. There are alot of good memorable returning characters while theres alot of forgettable "just there" characters.

Gameplay: Player controls have improved alot, movement, aiming, sneaking etc all have improved mechanics. Camo Indexes are actually still in the game, technically invisible so you have to pick the right camo for the level. The game is essentially a bigger scale version of Peacewalker with an open world. While i do like the open world i was dissapointed with the lack of levels, there's only 2 levels: Afghanistan and Africa.

Graphics: The graphics are very clean and hi res imo. The game is well optimized too; im running the game with a GTX1060 on ultra settings and the framerate rarely ever dips.

Sound Design (Music, SFX, Voiceacting): Harry Gregson Williams returns for Metal Gears music; hes composed music for the series since MGS2; the music is really good and fitting. Sound effects in the game are also really well made. As for the voice acting, majority of the voice acting is very good except Big Boss.

Is Kiefer Sutherland a good actor? in my opinion yes

Is he good as a voice actor for Big Boss? well in my opinion his performance was kinda forgettable. I didnt really focus too much on the voice change but David Hayter will always be Snake/Big Boss.

The reason im recommending MGSV is purely for the gameplay, its really cheap currently but ide say wait on a flash sale to get it even lower.

Tekken is one of my favorite fighting game series. I've been playing the series since Tekken 2 (With Tekken 3 being my favorite one)

Im really impressed with how optimized Tekken 7 is considering this is the first time its on PC; alot of care and work was put into this port. The game runs on UE4 and is gorgeous looking; i run the game on Ultra Settings with my GTX1060 and the framerate is always constant and does not go below 60.

Most of the character roster returns (albeit some exceptions below), however theres alot more newcomer characters this time. They've added a campaign story mode which i thought was interesting (made me want to go read up on the tekken lore) and they added treasure battle which is wicked fun; you can unlock customization items with ingame money.

The controls are still the same from previous Tekkens however they have added new mechanics such as camera slowdowns, wakeups, powercrushes, rage arts, and rage drives, essentially "supers". I didnt like these new editions at first but after playing for a while i actually like them; they're cool looking but also add variety.

Sound effects were on point but as for the music.... personally i dont like a majority of the OST, theres maybe a few tracks i like such as Infinite Azure and the customization theme. The PS4 version has Tekken Tunes where you can change most of the music to the previous tekkens sadly the PC version doesnt have it.

I do have some minor cons

- Some modes seem to be missing
- Missing characters: Christie, Bruce, Mokujin, Ganryu, Julia etc (EDIT: Anna and Lei Confirmed for Season Pass 2)
- While story mode was interesting i wish it was longer, also arcade mode has 5 stages compared to 9

Honestly other than that ive been enjoying Tekken 7, probably one of the best ones to come out.
