I didn't expect this game to get a full remaster, so i was pretty shocked when Nightdive said they were remastering it. They did an amazing job overhauling the games assets as well as using their KEX engine. The original game did not look nearly as amazing as this, and it was basically near unplayable on n64 hardware with its bad framerate (i rented a copy back in the day)

As for the game itself its very short, its one of those games where it wants you to replay through it multiple times. Clocks in at round 4 hours. While i feel this Turok game is a downgrade from the previous two it still has its moments and it was fun and entertaining playing through it. I recommend it if you want to finish the trilogy of games.

This was my first entry into the Armored Core series, I have heard a lot of great things about it over the years. This ended up becoming my favorite mecha game ever.

- Engaging game play and game mechanics
- Compelling story with a great cast of characters, (you only hear their voices, you don't see anyone's face or body, a different approach then usual but written so well)
- Huge level environments with amazing attention to detail and design language
- Amazing mechanical designs for the different mecha types in the game; Kawamori and Miyatake were onboard to do mechanical work and it shows, they are veteran mecha designers who did work on 1980's anime.
- Great sound design and music

The part that really heightened the experience playing this for me was a coop mod with a friend of mine.

I plan on playing the previous games in the series.

When the game was first released it was in incredibly rough shape, i knew this beforehand that it most likely would be like this so i waited a year and half before buying the game (same with my friends) I'm glad Techland cares about the game though because all of these updates they put into the game improved things so much especially that recent firearms update.

GRAPHICS: The same or slightly better than the first game, with the new LUT update the game can feel morelike DL1 somewhat.

STORY: Techland wanted to focus bigger on the story aspect, Story is interesting but im not going "oh this is incredible!" at the same time, reading the file pickups for the lore can give you more insight on things.

GAMEPLAY: Parkour is so much better than the first game, melee has been improved and adding guns back in was a highly requested thing by the community, coop is so much fun to play with friends as well. Villedor and Central loop maps are even bigger than the first game combined which is a plus.

SOUND: The sound design and music is very good, however in my personal opinion the music is not as memorable as the first games especially with its 80's zombie film style music and dark bleak atmosphere (DL2 went with an opposite approach)

CONTENT: We're at the epilogue and we still haven't finished all the side-quests and activities, the game is packed with a lot of content you can do like the first game.

If i had one gripe they really need to fix the teleporting Volatiles inside buildings and some smaller issues, otherwise DL2 is a lot of fun.

I love the Gundam series and Mecha in general, ive been a fan for the longest time and i was looking for a nice Gundam game to play, i heard about GB02 for the longest time and was hyped about its PC release

The Good:
- A big variety of maps that take place on both ground and space with a big selection of Mobile Suit's from the Universal Century timeline
- A more slower based team battle styled Gundam game
- Coop gamemodes are a plus but i feel they should add more
- Class type variety from Generals to Raiders to Support types, all versatile in their own way
- Graphics are pretty decent sure they're not photorealistic but they match the Gundam aesthetic and do look nice imo
- Sound design is great, you have classic Gundam sfx as well as original ones, music in the game is nice (even some references to Zeonic Front)
- Controls are pretty good imo, you can even plug in a controller to play as well

The Bad:
- The matchmaking will only work when it wants to, because the game does not have dedicated servers it relies on one of the worst (in my opinion) outdated connection types: peer to peer connection. It takes forever to get a game and even worse when trying to matchmake with a friend, it will outright not work or disconnect us. It basically feels like im back in 2004 or 2008.

- The anticheat that GB02 uses is "Easy Anti Cheat" so far ive run into three actual hackers in the game and ive reported them, though it doesnt seem to matter because they can bypass the anti cheat and since this game is free to play they can just hop on another alt account and play the game again.

- No voicechat option, this is a problem for me because when your playing with random people theres no possible coordination and most people seem to go "lone wolf" in every match im up against despite teamwork being neccessary, most people ignore the chat commands as well. So in this case your better off getting five friends to play the game with you.

- The penalty system: one of the worst things in the game next to the matchmaking. Ive seen people get wrongfully penalized, just from having connection problems you will get penalized. My friend was streaming and unfortunately had to go AFK and the game penalized and kicked him. Anyhow after a certain amount the game will ban you for a day or even a week, and you get less drops too. It shouldnt be in the game in my opinion.

- The microtransactions are very bad, i understand the game is free to play but... the way this was done is not good in my opinion. The game uses gacha mechanics similiar to a mobile game, this is strange in itself to me. It takes forever to get 30 tokens for a 10 roll and if you want to get lets say 110 tokens for multiple ten rolls its not worth it, because it cost almost $90 dollars! So yeah its absolutely ridiculous

- Gameplay mechanics & balance : Despite Bandai Namco trying their best, some mobile suits in the game can feel "broken" a big example my friend mentioned was the Jegan CH or the Schurum Galluss, if you look around you'll see why. The gameplay mechanics have alot of cooldown features, this wouldnt be a bad thing except for some factors. I understand its how its programmed getting stunlocked sure that's whatever, but i can tell you its not fun being stunlocked by the entire enemy team. You'll basically be sitting there not being able to do anything. Lastly what is it a bit annoying is when the enemy team is able to basically spawncamp your spawn base, there IS spawn protection but it doesnt last long and they can just keep camping it the whole match anyway.

I GENUINELY want to like the game because i actually have had some fun in some matches but the state its in is unacceptable, i really feel like they should fix alot of things especially the connectivity, matchmaking netcode, and completely remove the penalty system before adding more mobile suits in.

I bought Dying Light about 2 months ago but ive had it on a backlog until now. Ive heard about it for a while now and i went into this game completely blind and ended up enjoying it a whole lot. I've been playing coop with two of my other friends and its basically been addicting, we've been playing it almost every night.

Some of the aspects of this game remind me of Mirrors Edge mashed with Farcry with some Left 4 Dead vibes. I really enjoy the parkour mechanics and how smooth the climbing transitions are. Weapons are fun to use with both melee and guns and the crafting is straight forward. The skill trees are interesting and have variety and theres alot of sidequests to do among a whole other list of things. The setting and story is unique with the map itself being bigger than it feels with the open world aspect which is great.

One thing i also want to point out is how great the atmosphere is in this game, not just the background ambience but the actual music that was composed. Its got a Day of the Dead / Boards of Canada late 1970's early 1980's eerie ambient synth music horror vibe which im a fan of.

Looking forward to see how Dying Light 2 turns out.

The masterpiece of the Yakuza series in my opinion. I played Zero first because i wanted to get into the series and start from the origin story and then play the other games. Yakuza Zero has great characters, great music, great voice acting and a very well thought out story and plot.

What really caught my attention more so was the 1980's japan backdropping, the atmosphere just feels very authentic (the fixation on money with japans economic bubble, VHS tapes and time period style minigames) really just added to the experience as im a massive fan of anything 80's. Being able to play as two of the most important characters in Yakuza; you get to play as both Kiryu and Majima and learn about both of their Origin storys. Besides the main story missions you can also do substories and the minigames.

The gameplays fighting mechanics were also great because you're able to switch between 3 different fighting styles (with a hidden fourth one) including special cinematic heat action attacks. The game is worth the money, ide recommend playing this first if you're getting into the series.

Mahjong is one of the most difficult games ive ever tried to learn, and its very hard for a newcomer for both myself and friends. While Mahjong Riichi is very simplistic from a game design point (i mean this in a good way), what it has is a very user friendly interface and it also has a really helpful easy to understand tutorial. I was able to learn how to play the game quickly and i was able to get my friends into it as well. I even went out and bought a real Japanese set in real life, this steam game version is definitely a great way to get into Mahjong.

Excellent edition to the classic Megaman series.

The graphics have a 2.5D style mixing 3D elements with 2D elements in a sorta softshaded style which actually fits with Megaman. I found myself looking at the backgrounds alot in the stages theres alot of attention to detail with each stage.

Gameplay is the same as the classic series but with the added double gear system; it added something new to the gameplay while still retaining all the classic elements. The controls themselves are pretty solid, i use a PS3 controller but you can use the keyboard controls too.

I dont really have much to say about the cinematics or story however the sound design for the sound effects was great, music was great as well; Tundra Man is my favorite robot master theme.

Highly recommended Megaman 11

A Rockstar game among many they've made that i feel is really underrated.

The game play focus is mainly stealth but there are times where you have to go rambo with firearms later on. What i liked about the stealth mechanics was both the darkness and audio. Hiding in dark areas of the levels to hide from hunters and the sound mechanic where most of the stuff you do makes noise or using noise to attract hunters to your location.

The game has a really dark story and amazing atmosphere with a soundtrack reminiscent of John Carpenter with visual style and inspiration like something out of of an 80s horror / mystery film; it even has a vhs scan line effect on cut scenes and executions.

Manhunt is actually playable on windows 7 and above with third party patches which you can find on the steam community and internet. Its an interesting game from Rockstar that still holds up to this day so ide definitely recommend it.

I first played Killer7 back in late 2009 on the Nintendo Gamecube after playing Suda 51's other game No More Heroes. I never beat it until recently via this PC port on steam. This game is an Enigma in my personal opinion; alot of people consider this to be Suda's magnum opus.

The story itself is over the top and complex in a good way. After several years ive grasped the story somewhat; theres alot of things in the plot that makes sense while theres still some other unanswered confusing mindscrewy elements.

Gameplay wise Killer7 mashes a bunch of genres together but in general the controls are simplistic and the game is fun to play. The movement is on rails, the aiming is in first person, and theres puzzles plus more.

What really drew me into the game was the artstyle. The ingame graphics have this really low poly celshading artstyle with heavy uses of black for shadows and gradient colors for backgrounds.

The sound design in this game is great. The sound effects are memorable and really stuck with me. The heavens smile laugh/chuckle is still nightmarish to hear. Voice acting was very good, alot of familiar voice actors i recognize as well. Masafumi Takada did the music for killer7 and its incredibly good, hes up there amoung my favorite japanese composers, the music he composed for Killer7 was perfect and set the tone and atmosphere.

Havent had any issues with this PC port from start to finish. Both the PC controls and controller controls work fine (though i prefer using a ps3 controller) theres some other options in the pc port as well. Overall Killer7 is worth the money imo, if youve never played it before i recommend it, its one of those games thats an experience.
