This is the game that perfected the genre. That's really all you need to know.

As a huge fan, I really wanted to like this game. But I can't recommend it in its current state. The gamepad doesn't really work, the scrolling is juddery as if the framerate is low, there's screen tearing, and the game crashed within ten minutes. I'm surprised Square allowed it to be released this way. Hopefully some fixes will be coming, and I can write a new better review in the future.

A slick-looking, well-balanced strategy game brimming with educational material. The history of space exploration is fascinating, and this is a really fun way to learn about it.

With the recent release of 1.0, they've done that and then some

There is a lot to like about this game. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it unless and until they actually finish the game. For me, Steam's new refund policy came at the perfect time, as PCars was the first game I bought after it was announced, and is the first game I've wanted to refund.

I'm not going to list the bugs I encountered, as that would take too long, and other reviews do enough there. I'll just say that I finally initiated the refund process after the AI put me into the wall during a rolling start.
