I'm about 9 hours into the game and I gotta say, this is one of the best souls games I've ever played. Elden Ring is a continuation of the souls series; with returning characters and similar combat. Every boss that I have ran into so far has been unique even though some of the areas might resemble other areas a little to closely. The open world aspect was a great addition, and doesn't really have any downsides to it being open world. I also didn't even beat the first main boss in my 9 hour playthrough. I attempted him, but he was extremely difficult for the level that I was, so I went off trying to get runes and ended up just getting lost in hunting down different bosses and areas.

The only downside is that the pc port is pretty bad. I have a beefy pc, so I was able to play it with fairly minimal issues. That being said they was still noticeable stuttering, and at times I didn't know whether it was my computer's fault or the game itself. I also had one instance where my game froze, but I only had one in the entire 9 hours that I played. Although the stuttering was present for a good portion of my playtime, I didn't find myself not enjoying the game because of it.

If you have a console, I would recommend that you by this game on there instead. My friend has it for PS5, and his game had no problems throughout his entire time playing it.

I would 100% recommend buying this game if you like and or are interested in halo; however, this game is still not complete right now. At the moment you can only play halo reach, and halo combat evolved, theater isn't in the game yet, and multiplayer modes and maps for games not added yet (can you guess?) aren't added yet. This isn't really a bad thing though since all the other games are supposed to come out this year. As far as gameplay goes, campaign works perfectly fine, but multiplayer is kind of weird. You can purchase different armor with money or points the game gives you, but its not nearly as cool as the old halo reach customization system. You also can't choose the map you want to play on next, but they did that with the new modern warfare too so idk if that's just a new thing game developers do.
In conclusion: Buy the game

To say that this game is a good game is a vast understatement. I used to be a normal social guy like the rest of you until I found this game, after that my days of contact with everyone and everything besides my computer and my long jhon silver were long forgotten. But can you blame me? This game is not only extremely fun, but it also teaches you about real life scenarios. For example: In this game when you are married the game doesn't even give you the option to tell your spouse you love them, instead the only options are for money, and if they can make food for you just like in real life! It is simply spectacular 10/10 would play again.
