This is a great game for those who like the TW turn base style of combat strategy AND/OR those who like the Economical, Political, Technologigal and Empire building style of play. Point is if you don't like both sides of this turned base game its still one-hundred percent worth playing for the side that is worth playing to you. For those of us that like every side of the game (with me this is true with the exception of naval combat attactched to the vital importance of controling trade points.) it is truelly another amazing game in the Total War line up.

Awesome game, I recommend it to any one who likes games like this. I will say it is a bit different from other total wars (besides the Nepolean one) in the way that its much more messy in say for example shugun 1&2 or viking invation all the wat to the Rome TW's.. Messy is just the work that comes to mind, idk know how else to put it. In the more midevil warfare types the stratagies are more about throwing certain units into the caos first and then the rest in waves there after ( I know its a generalization). Emipre is clean cut for the most part and when i gets down and dirty you still have a measure of control.

In short I love all of these games i just seem to like the european war style better as commander, although Shogun 2 has forced its self on to a certain place of my heart as well :P
