Outstanding.

Killed the dog at the start of the game. Uninstalled. "Heartrending" is poor trope story telling.

It's a step backwards in terms of modding but having all the nice looking visuals and textures offered by modding in the base game seems to have a much better performance effect. While a lot of people complain this isn't much of an upgrade it just further proves how well realised the art direction was in its inital release. Bethesda's best RPG to date and still a better all round game than Fallout 4.

I'm not going to try and convince you that this is the greatest game you will play, it's got some glaring flaws in it's game design direction and a lot of the negatives in the No reviews are completely valid and it would be easy for me to write a negative review here.

We're kind of been trained with the way steam reviews work and the modern terrible "game journalist" shock reviews to look at games in a binary manner, either yes or no, ZOMG great or TOTAL TRASH, in fact I think this is probably an issue with most media we consume but I digress.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is a solid fun game that will give you a good, fun 10 to 15 hours minimum of game time, yes it has some very odd and not well thought out game design choices but the positives do comfortably outweigh the negatives.

I would whole heartedly recommend a purchase but would also encourage you to look for a nice deep discount during sales, you will be left with a nice feeling of value for money!
