Wonderful music, lovely art style, and very well-implemented mechanics.

YUKI is a perfect VR bullet hell game. It never feels unfair and it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish.

I'm very excited for Endless Mode to release.

Early Access Review
This game is already significantly more complete than nearly any "Early Access" game I've played in a long time.

It's like Dead Cells mixed with Bastion.

It has the classic Supergiant visual aesthetic and amazing music, it has funny, deep, and touching writing, and a really clever method of story exposition that keeps you going and learning as you play. The characters are interesting, well-voiced, and fun to listen to and meet, and the gameplay is varied and engaging.

I ca'n't wait to see where it goes as it develops and am eagerly awaiting the full release (stated to hopefully be sometime, probably late, in the coming year.)

If you enjoyed any of their previous games (especially Bastion) you will definitely love this.

Edited to add that this is now the very first game I have ever 100%'d on Steam, so. There's that. Still love it!

PokeXCOM with mechs. What more could you ask for?

Just remember to never, ever trust Darius's mission briefings. I think he just does a MadLib and posts it and calls it "research".

Gorgeous and atmospheric. A ton of suspenseful fun to play. Excellent base-building options and fun vehicles, and the creatures and environments are fantastic.

I strongly recommend it if you like exploring and building.

What can I say about Pyre?

It made me laugh, and wonder, and cry, and cry some more.

It's beautifully paced, seamless, and gorgeous from beginning to end.

It's like Bosch and Klimt illustrated The Yellow Submarine.

It's like hockey and basketball had a fast, brutal, and yet still potentially friendly child-sport.

And the music. The -music-. Darren Korb deserves a knighthood or a medal or a Nobel prize or something. The music makes me cry, too. Even without the story.

Did I mention there were tears?

I don't know why you're still reading this. Go play Pyre.
