Even aside from the optimization issues, I'm frustrated with how the game wastes your time with a worthless story, making the early game feel like a slog and difficult to fully enjoy with friends. I feel like I spend about 10 minutes on a hunt, followed by 20–30 minutes of cutscenes and dialogue. I play these games to hunt monsters; if I wish to enjoy the story, I would prefer to do so at my own leisure, like in the older games and Monster Hunter Rise.

The plot feels uninspired, lacking the twists and compelling character development that made earlier stories so memorable. Instead, we're given a series of predictable events and bland dialogue that do little to engage the player. The new characters introduced in Dawntrail are forgettable at best, and their motivations are either clichéd or poorly explained.

The pacing is another major issue. Key moments that should be thrilling or emotionally charged fall flat due to poor execution and a lack of build-up. The quests are repetitive, making the already tedious story feel like a chore to slog through. Even the cutscenes, which have often been a highlight in previous expansions, seem overly long and filled with needless exposition.

In short, the Dawntrail expansion's story is a significant letdown. It's a tedious, uninspired mess that struggles to maintain interest, much less excitement. For an MMO known for its rich storytelling, this latest chapter is a regrettable stumble. If you're hoping for a gripping narrative experience, you might find yourself as bored and sleepy as I did.

A lukewarm sequel of wasted potential.

Dragon's Dogma 2 had immense shoes to fill, inheriting the legacy of its beloved predecessor. Graphically, Dragon's Dogma 2 delivers an upgrade from its predecessor, with stunning landscapes and improved character models. However, these visual enhancements alone can't compensate for the game's lackluster gameplay experience.

One of the most glaring issues lies in the game's narrative presenting a forgettable plotline that fails to captivate. Character development feels shallow, and the stakes never feel quite as high as they should even in the true ending.

Furthermore, Dragon's Dogma 2 suffers from technical issues that hinder immersion. Glitches, frame rate drops, and inconsistent AI behavior detract from an otherwise immersive world.

Despite its flaws, Dragon's Dogma 2 does have its moments of brilliance. The Pawn system, a unique feature of the series, remains engaging, allowing players to customize and utilize AI companions in combat. Additionally, the game's expansive open world provides ample opportunities for exploration and discovery, offering glimpses of the series' true potential.

Endgame content has always been a crucial aspect of any RPG in my opinion, providing players with a reason to continue exploring the game world long after completing the main storyline. Unfortunately, Dragon's Dogma 2 disappoints in this regard. The absence of meaningful endgame content leaves a gaping void, robbing the experience of its potential longevity and replay value.

Furthermore, the lack of cooperative multiplayer integration is a baffling omission in Dragon's Dogma 2. The absence of true co-op functionality feels like a missed opportunity, depriving players of the chance to embark on epic adventures with friends and allies by their side.

In an era where multiplayer experiences reign supreme, the decision to overlook co-op integration is a glaring oversight that further diminishes Dragon's Dogma 2's appeal. With the gaming landscape becoming increasingly interconnected, the absence of cooperative multiplayer feels like a step backward rather than a leap forward for the series.

The lack of endgame content and cooperative multiplayer integration serves as glaring flaws that detract from Dragon's Dogma 2's overall experience. In a genre defined by its longevity and social interactions, these omissions hinder the sequel's ability to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

In conclusion, Dragon's Dogma 2 falls short of its predecessor's greatness. While it boasts improved visuals and retains some of the series' signature elements, it ultimately fails to deliver a truly memorable experience.

Unless Dragon's Dogma 2 gets a Dark Arisen level of DLC I don't see my opinion towards the game changing.

Decided to dive back into the madness with 'Helldivers 2,' where the chaos has been given a fresh coat of paint and a new point of view! The leap to lush, up-to-date graphics and a dynamic third-to-first person aiming system not only sharpens the battlefield but also my aim (or so I like to think). It's like they took everything I loved about the original, turned it up to 11, and then threw the dial out the window. Squad up, aim true, and remember: democracy never looked so good.

Edit: We did it Helldivers we won the battle against the corporate overlord Sony! o7

PVE match making still matches you against other players which totally defeats purpose of it.

FromSoftware hits it out of the park again with another amazing tittle a very solid game unfortunately bogged down by some serious stutters, FPS drops and rare but possible crashes when those get ironed out I would say the game is a solid 9.5/10 for sure.

Edit: +150 hours and almost level 200 I haven't spent so much time while enjoying every moment of it on a game in a good while was one hell of a journey, but I feel satisfied now that it's over.
