Great game, approximately 20 hours to play through if you don't go for 100%. Well worth the $20 I spent.

Much better than the vanilla experience, a lot of bugs are patched and the shadow mapping looks much better.

A concept that is simple, and easy to cynically imagine would be ruined by the toxicity normally encountered on the internet and yet... it isn't. A group of total strangers just being nice to one another and talking about some of their (sometimes deep) problems anonymously. It's kind of the opposite of Twitter, in the best possible way.

It's a refreshing change of pace to have something remind you that human beings have good in them in such a saccharine manner. I'd say that's more than worth the price of a morning coffee.

The internet speaks for this game; it doesn't take much to find why this game is great.

A fun puzzle and exploration game, and definitely worth its low cost of entry. The world is a bit bleak, but the underlying story is compelling and the art style is cute, brimming with a sense of curiousity/wonder. I'd happily have paid more than I did for the game had I expected it to be as enjoyable as when I got around to playing it!

The only real gripe about the game I have is that it encourages you to play in a windowed screen (and at several points requires it) but provides no scaling for the window! The game was designed for NTSC/PAL resolutions, so the window is preposterously small on my 1440p monitor or 4K television; an embarassment of riches, I know, but a nuisance nonetheless.

With gorgeous sprites, engaging music, and colorful, creative enemies and environments, Owlboy is a captivating experience soured only by a handful of control quirks; it explores platforming design space that most platformers avoid entirely with the usage of flight as the main form of travel, and challenges you to think on your feet at several intervals.

The story itself isn't of extraordinary depth, but is fitting for the world the game takes place in. The characters are relatable enough, and are a nice bit of seasoning to the taste of exploration and adventure; the gameplay is reason enough to feel compelled forward, so a story that won't have you falling asleep is just sugar on top.

All things considered, I could list a few nitpicks, but I highly recommend trying this game, ESPECIALLY if you are lucky enough to grab it on sale. Easily worth the $25 I spent in terms of entertainment value.
