Crashes during boss fights.

Wait a few more years when there is more content added to the game and bugs are fixed.

EDIT 2024: There is NOTHING innovative about this game play. Nothing! Skyrim is more innovative than this game. How it won the Innovative award 2024 has got to be a joke. The most innovative aspect of this game is maybe the ship building?

Great game! Very immersive world of Harry Potter. Hogwarts is amazingly detailed. There are only 2 genders. J. K. Rowling was right.

FYI: Lower your graphics settings as the game sets them to very high by default which can result in some lag.

Still a great game after all these years. Better than the new BF for sure. Runs great!

I will not be buying a PS5 to play Forbidden West. Release FW on Steam.

Updated review 2023: Great game made better with 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC. Lots of fun, lots of replay ability, great character development, great story!

Summary: Worth a play through if the game is on sale and you're a fan of the Terminator franchise.

If you're a fan of the Terminator franchise then I would say its worth buying this game, when its on sale, and play it till the ending. The ending is worth it and the end of the game it what the game SHOULD have been through the whole game. The beginning of the game is rather slow compared to the end. The ending is fast paced with lots of shooting. The beginning is slow with lots of stealth, exploring and some story building. I would say Infiltrator mode is the best part of the game and is the only reason I haven't uninstalled the game yet after completing it.

The issue I have with this game is it tries to combine a bunch of different game elements into what should be a shooter game. It attempts to be a Fallout 3 or maybe a Dishonored but it does it very poorly. The maps are small so the feeling of "open world exploration" is missing until you play Infiltrator mode. Hacking is cool at first but then becomes very uninteresting. Lock picking is pretty much copy pasted from Fallout. You can stealth kill Terminator provide you have enough knives. Eventually you get bored of it all and just want to shoot Terminator in the face and blow things up. The save game feature attempts to be akin to Dark Souls but in the end just feels atrociously annoying. Fortunately, the game is short enough that you can look past these annoyances.

What I expected: Aliens Online circa 1998 or more Call of Duty Aliens where players could be Aliens or Marines, faster better shooter. What I got: A Left for Dead clone with terrible matchmaking on a old engine. I am writing this while I am waiting in a que to finish the story mode. Bots AI is bad. I want to like game because I love the franchise but this game isnt it. Wait for it to be on sale or fix matchmaking.

The antagonist to all the thousands of "builder" games. Interesting and laid back gameplay.
