Game runs worse on launch than Dragons Dogma 2 did, despite looking worse.

For 70 USD asking price no less.

Hopefully Capcom does what they did with DD2 and patches come out to address it soon, but for now I would recommend saving your money and looking again in 30-60 days when they've had time to actually fix the horrid performance.

I'm still using this space to say ♥♥♥♥ you to Sony.

For those years later wondering what the hell all these reviews are about. Sony tried to enforce third party accounts and services on the game, where it has been sold up until this point in countries that can't even sign up for PSN without violating TOS.

Thankfully this decision was reversed.

The game is great, worth buying and playing with friends.

Once again for the people in the back, ♥♥♥♥ Sony.

The game as it was at release was a 1.0 product worthy of being released, no Early Access trash here.

I'd gladly have paid far more than $6 for this game. The beta branch addresses all of the issues I had with the main release, such as not being able to fix holes, etc, and the dev has been pretty active post release with bug fixes and adding features.

Big Edit: They've made a lot of changes from release and the game is pretty rad now.

It's honestly no more janky than Oblivion was and has far more content. If you're entitled and/or doomed your self to over-hype this title then you're probably not going to like it, but for those of us who are actually reasonable and not mentally 12 years old it's a fine release with a pretty par-for-course bug set that puts it on par with many other classic open world games.

I'd say if you're a very cautious consumer or have a lower end computer, consider waiting a few weeks for drivers, bug fixes and optimisation patches to roll out. Otherwise it's pretty great. Only real con I can think of is that the saving system technically punishes you for having to quit playing since you can't save and quit without a potion.
