This is a tactical stealth game set during the Edo-Era of Japan in 1615. You control up to 5 unique characters per mission.

Narrative is decent and the characters all have distinct personalities – I really liked the art-style.

The gameplay however, is where this game shines! There are multiple solutions to each section and you have plenty of interesting tools at your disposal. There is a solid 35hrs of gameplay if you (like me) get enjoyment from painstakingly murdering every enemy and then hiding their lifeless bodies down a well! Likewise, if you’re the sort of person that wants to go the “no-kill” route, you can stealthily slip past the guards and probably get through in half the time!

In general, this game has lots of nice little touches. Had me laughing right to the end of the campaign. It has an addictive building mechanic, and the general aesthetic design is great.

The campaign took me about 40-ish hours to beat and has a decent variety of missions. Building the Dungeon each mission is super fun as there is a good range of rooms to build, all with different functions and it's cool finding out which rooms interact with others and thinking about an optimal building strategy.

The combat in the "overworld" is a bit Warcraft 3 - which isn't a bad thing!

For a 5yr old game it holds up really well. Make sure you download the free HD content pack for some upgraded visuals.

The combat mechanics are a nice mix between those in the Batman Arkham series and the Assassins Creed series so if you liked those you'll enjoy this game.

I wrapped up the main quest in about 23hrs, and didn't worry too much about collecting all the extra bits and pieces that are strewn about the map. In my opinion, most of the story is a tad mediocre and largely forgettable.

The nemesis system is excellent, and there are some funny moments when you cross paths with orcs that have previously killed you.

Recommended if you see this on sale for 50% off or more.

Recommended. I got this for my daughter who is now 8yrs old. She loves exploring and discovering things. I always get a kick out of every time I hear an excited "Dad, come and look what I found"!

Some genuinely brilliant level design and game-play mechanics kept me captivated until the end. There are a multitude of ways to complete an objective and plenty of 'augmentations' to experiment with, most of which will unlock even more gameplay possibilities.

However, I didn't feel the compulsion to complete many side-missions, or replay and experiment with all the game mechanics that the game has to offer because the story was a bit lacklustre.

If you liked the previous game (Human Revolution) you'll most likely enjoy this one too.

Used to be fun, but as of May 2019 its a buggy crashing mess.

A hack-and-slash/puzzle game which explores psychosis using Celtic and Viking myths. It is told from the perspective of a fantastic and fully realised character who is battling her personal demons.
Progress is relatively linear.
Combat is simple.
Puzzles are good and rarely too frustrating.

Graphics are ok, sound is pretty amazing, good voice acting with plenty of good scary moments!

This isn't a bad game, but after 5hrs of playtime I realised that this isn't the game for me and I wasn't having a huge amount of fun.

If you enjoy the challenge of a game where you have to spend a lot of the time sneaking around feeling really underpowered then this is the game for you.

This is basically AC: Blag Flag in a new location with a new protagonist... Decent game play and good story but no really new game-play mechanics.

It’s wild and reckless fun. It keeps you hooked with easy-to-learn but hard-to-master gameplay mechanics.

Frustratingly enjoyable and highly recommended!
