Navigation acts ruined American trade with other European powers and treaties like the Stamp Act put many colonists into debts. Colonists resorted to boycotting British goods; One of these boycotting events led colonists to the Boston Harbour, the Sons of Liberty besieged British merchant ships and dumped Tea over to the sea.
