This game is kicking my ***. but overall its a great game. Story is rich and art is beautiful. Artstyle is something i fell in love with back with Hades 1, and it still doesn't disappoint.

Is the game good? Yes, but here comes the caveat.

Well.. as it is with all good things there is a catch. Got a PSN account? Is it already connected to your steam account? Might aswell get it if you feel comfortable with that. Sony seems to double down, so my review goes back to not recommended.

Personally, I am wildly uncomfortable with the idea of linking services with different terms of service together. Luckily, Sony stated it to be optional late on may 5th, but this might just be backtracked.

This might be a small thing for you, and if that is the case? Go right ahead! Game is a blast to play, but I am not getting a PSN account to appease Sony.

Too bad I have to stay on the negative train, 'cause I just want a good game to play with friends.

This game has major potential, its just too bad that the last (non-hotfix) update for the game was back on May 31, 2022. We're now in 2024, I won't keep holding out hope for an update for a game which only has had it's last "hotfix" in november '23 to fix a css exploit and stay on steam.

Scope creep stopped the game from getting any real updates, and as such has probably lost the ability to post new updates.

EDIT: They've added a physics update in end 2024. I wont change the review untill the game gets engoodened, since they have had 2+ years of radio silence.

TLDR: it isn't recommended to new players without a guiding hand, but returning players might see the improvements incoming as good enough to hop back on the kaithe. EDIT: The game is pretty good, granted you have a friend that can give you tips and will answer your questions when needed. Still needs a friend or a good set of youtube tutorials.

Do I recommend 'warfarm' to new players? Maybe?
The starting experience has gotten a lot better, allowing for a new player to try out frames and even collect a few of them before they start the starchat, not going this path might cause you to lose out on a great place to learn how different frames play before you go in and make an uninformed choice of starter. Of course, if you have a friend who plays it might become either way after the first 10 hours, as you can be steered clear of the biggest pitfalls of the game.

Do I recommend fashionframe to returning players? Surprisingly, yes.
The game's vision is currently run by a person who was a community manager before this and it shows with the fact that QoL is finally being worked on. One of the worst offenders we call frames got a massive touch-up, and systems that have had an objective BiS for any content seem to be diversifying as we speak.

So why am I not recommending it? The store page is for those who have yet to play the game, not the ones who are thinking of returning, as the returners get their info elsewhere. The fact that the guiding hand is a requirement for the game means that the game is not yet ready to onboard new players, as it will risk those players hitting the great filter which is post-tutorial.

Warframe is a sandbox with little guidance for where to go and with too many pitfalls which has ruined the gameplay experience for many. I am so happy I had a guiding hand on my second go of the game or I would never have picked it up again.

Over 2000 hours with at least 50 cents spent per hour. I've had more than my share of fun throughout the game's playtime, but I'm not yet ready to recommend it to new players.

Yes, the game is short. Yes, the game is pretty much a walking simulator.
Then why am i recommending it?
The story is fantastic, the themes play off eachother beautifully, the scenery is one of the best i've seen in a long time and the artstyle fits oh so well with the other elements.

You can see that the game was a passion project, and it plays like one as well.
Get ready to get sucked in for atleast 3 hours, as that is the length of a story playthrough.

For games like it I can recommend Firewatch.
The game itself is mostly a setpiece for the atmosphere which encompasses the world made by the developers at Okomotive. If you are ready for a contemplative journey from start till the end, remember to play the first one starting out, as the two stories are linked.

Gameplay doesn't get repetitive over the 2-3 hours of gameplay, and while short i believe that games that are this expressive needs to be played through.

The price is never easy to deal with, and as such i would recommend getting it when it drops under a 10-15 eur if you want your money's worth.

Normally I would probably have a great time in such a game but playing it without friends makes the game incredibly unenjoyable.

Are you playing it with friends? Go for it.
You arent? I wouldnt pick it up.

You'll probably enjoy the mainquest until you start doing sidequests as you will overpower the normal quests in no time. The story is decent but unless you like reading it wont be for you. IF you get through the main questline up to the newer expansions you'll quickly burn out realising that there is a massive wall of "gameplay" you must grind through to keep the game enjoyable. Note: This is not enjoyable alone.
