"I think Sins of a Solar Empire 2 has the worst multiplayer experience that I've ever experienced ever in a strategy game" -My friend 3 matches in a row

You know what I agree, stay away from public matches, the balance is hideously ♥♥♥♥ the community is horrid, the meta is horrid, I got slammed by 3 capital ships by vassari in 20 minutes, Both of us in the match COMBINED had 3, Harackas are insane when backed up by repair ships and instantly kill anything thrown at them.

There are exactly 3-4 meta comps in this game, translates to 1 fleet comp per faction, literally if you do not use these fleet comps you lose, the balancing is sadistic and terribly annoying, YOU have to be the worst version of yourself to win in this game, absolute bottom barrel scum, the balance is so out of wack that I've personally not seen a worse good game on the market, and the player count shows.

Seriously, this game appeals to a particular subset of people that exist to crush people, there's no comebacks, theres no winning from an underdog position, its one set path, win or lose.

About as deep as a puddle, and the game itself is riddled with so called ai art for icons, which is just horrible from a information standpoint, its also horrible.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“In the final release, you can expect the following features:
A more developed version of the existing "Skirmish" real-time tactical fleet-vs-fleet battles.
Multiple variations on the skirmish mode to produce unique and interesting variety.
A high-level strategy mode involving the maneuvering of multiple fleets to achieve control of a solar system via multiple of the above skirmishes.
Additional hulls for up to 3 factions.
Additional weapons, modules, and compartments to expand fleet variety even more.
Carriers and fightercraft.
Story-driven conquest scenario.
Modding support via Steam Workshop

As it stands the developers have axed all singleplayer conquest features for "Sweaty skirmish gameplay" yeah, this borders on fraud, I want a refund.

Supreme Ruler 2030: A General's Glorious Charge... Into a Tactical Quagmire

TLDR:-This game has its moments, but the technical issues, shallow systems, and braindead AI make it a frustrating experience overall. Unless you're a die-hard fan of the series or have superhuman patience, you're better off waiting for the devs to fix it one day, just not today.

Lead your nation to glorious victory in Supreme Ruler 2030... or maybe not.
While the core combat shines with strategic depth and in-depth movement mechanics, this game is littered with landmines that can detonate your campaign faster than a tactical nuke.

Sure, the devs deserve a medal for fixing those pesky multiplayer desyncs. But hold your horses, not all of them have been fixed and you will not have a good time. Clunky unit movement will still trip you up like a rogue banana peel, turning online battles into a comical (and frustrating) clicking spree. Meanwhile, the devs are busy announcing their next project, leaving Supreme Ruler 2030 feeling a bit like yesterday's news.

Remember those promises of deep political intrigue and economic domination?
They're just echoes now, drowned out by the shallow systems and lack of features beyond the core combat. The economy is a barren wasteland offering as much depth as a puddle after a summer shower. Trade? Blockades? Sanctions? Forget it. You're left fiddling with a broken calculator in a world devoid of economic consequence. Diplomacy is like using carrier pigeons but they're dive-bombing the nearest active volcano – treaties are worthless, and meaningful partnerships are about as likely as finding a unicorn leading a mechanized assault.

But wait, there's more! The fun doesn't stop there.
The AI plays like a lobotomized goldfish, offering no challenge beyond the occasional blunder and conveniently avoiding any unfavorable engagements. Rebellions are more of a nuisance than a threat, confined to your colonies and feeling more like predictable bugs than genuine uprisings(really devs? 1-2 guerillas taking over 1 tile? seriously?).

And then there's the time...dilation device masquerading as gameplay speed.
Each year unfolds at a glacial pace (47 minutes!), feeling like watching paint dry while simultaneously being stuck in a history class with a particularly dour teacher. Save game transfers? More like save game explosions, leaving you stranded in the lobby, forced to rehost like hans fixing the transmission.

Now, the devs are still in the trenches, fighting the good fight.
They're like a sculptor desperately trying to breathe life into a lump of clay with a plastic spork while roleplaying the German Empire in WW1. Their dedication is admirable, but the reality is, Supreme Ruler 2030 feels like a half-finished game with a lot of can be, would have been and should have beens, stuck in the mud before reaching its full potential.

So?
Unless you're a patient strategist with a masochistic love for technical hurdles and shallow experiences(especially in multiplayer), this one might be best left on the shelf. Even the combat system's brilliance can't save it from being overrun by its own shortcomings. But hey, maybe, just maybe, the devs will revive the promise buried beneath the muck. Until then, this ruler remains firmly entrenched on the seat of unfulfilled ambition.

For a game that costs 60 dollars, and dosent allow gifting to friends and has ONLY 2 factions with finland being a minor nation DLC that costs 18 dollars and Italy-US-Poland-Britain-Japan not even being in the game despite being shown in loading screen its ♥♥♥♥ value and has DLC whoring as its potential.

Leaving aside the horrendous content and monetization the gameplay consists of your infantry not moving smoothly, stuttering while in movement and not shooting back at units shooting at them, tanks being blinder than a bat in the sunlight and just downright unfun gameplay that forces high micro beyond the level of Starcraft 2 while also being shallower and laggier than Starcraft 2.

Campaign is boring with 25 minute long defence missions, its more of a Mod turned into a Game and charging you 60 dollars for the privilege of having RobZ on the developer team and his horrendous boring gameplay decisions broken ranges and just straight up unfun gameplay design as well as having fantastic sound design.

I wish I could get a refund, this is the kind of game that takes 2 hours for you realise that its just straight up ♥♥♥♥ and has extreme amounts of issues and by then you're out of the refund window.

1.(whatever the hell it is now):- DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AND PLAY THE REDS, You will see your atgms miss where-ever possible, the r73s cant hit worth for ♥♥♥♥, the konkurs cant hit, agonas cant hit, your planes will be shot down by handcranked 20mm bofors, 20MM BOFORS HANDCRANKED TOYOTA MOBILES WILL SHOOT DOWN SU17s

RNG? There is no RNG, NOTHING WILL HIT EVER.

Send whoever balanced and made the missile accuracies for this game straight to ukraine to go see first hand how many Russian missiles miss, the strela was known as the bane of planes for a reason, r73s were the first IRCCM Missiles.

Also why in the ever living ♥♥♥♥ does a T80 miss a first shot against any tank in perfect conditions? It is not hard to lase the target and put it on the red dot on your gunner sight, what is this clownery?

Also the arbitrary limits on 1985 just make this game boring, T80Bs against challeys and abrams, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck, it would be fine if the atgms ever hit anything, it dosent, NATO atgms will though.

Whoever made the mig23ml lose a turn fight to a tornado and buccaneers needs to go check where they left their brain cause clearly it dosent exist in their head.

Dont buy this game, save your sanity, if you know anything about any equipment ever dont buy this game.

According to the frenchies at eugen, the kub never hit its shot, the strela dosent hit its shot, the tunguska sits there and eats ♥♥♥♥ like a toddler and gepards and handcranked 20mm bofors trucks are all you need to kill planes at 2.5km+ cause you know, reasons.

And the atgm planes unload all their atgms at one tank instead of hitting 2 targets they can clearly see and lock, if they ever hit that is, which they wont atleast if you have the soviet flag.

Wait for broken arrow, that game is only ever marginally better than this but atleast it'll make you happy sometimes instead of ruining your mood.

There are videos of the strela hitting fpv drones in ukraine, but according to eugen they wont even hit a afterburning non flaring plane going in a straight line.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comedy.

0.8:-Its good now.

0.1 update review:-Redfor cannot compete, Eugen discord janitors ban people for suggesting balance decisions.
Game looks amazing, sound is amazing, balance is an UTTER TRAVESTY OF THE LIKES I HAVENT EVEN SEEN SINCE FEVER DREAM MODS.
Yes Eugen you did a worse job than a modder, was this even made professionally? or did you just get unpaid interns to make this for you?, forward deployment with FS-Jaegers and you get to win every single time.
NONE OF THE REDFOR INFANTRY CAN EVEN COMPETE WITH BLUEFOR. NONE!, Leopard 2A3s are immortal on the battlefield, Redfor missiles cant hit anything to save their lives even at elite, konkurs dosent do anything, and the Arty is not randomized it will always start from the right side of the circle ALWAYS, at this point its not even balance issues, its stupidity.
WTF is this balance? were you blackout drunk and high when you balanced this warno dev team?
