So I had a bad experience with my first few play throughs i eventually found a sweet spot with turning down graphics settings and the resolution. played for awhile and went good had a few freezes but nothing major it was tolerable i eventually got bored and started messing w mods making crisis stronger more aggressive i got gigastructure mod and even figured out some commands to let me play as other empires this allowed me to do soo many things w their federations alliances diplomatic power all that. Eventually i spawned the unbidden crisis i forgot i put the crisis to x25 difficulty. they destroyed the entire galaxy except for me and another empire that i went to war with and conquered half the systems he found with the EHOF thing. We watched the galaxy burn as our relations increased for 100ish years we stayed in the little pocket galaxy thing. I then switched to the other empire made them get the research to where a single fleet had 50m fleet power and watched them clean up the galaxy for another 50-75 years. after that was done i then sent colony ships out to "reseed" the galaxy i made the new colonies into sectors then into vassals and released them. Now we wait another 100 or so years and spawn another crisis.

My queen fell in love with the bishop the bishop fell in love with another lord, jealousy arose due to sexual desires being fulfilled this then lead to murder plots and rivalries to form between lords. One thing I learned in this game is things can go super well, the mood being 80-90+ no crime or hatred all. Only to think it can all come crashing down over someone falling in love with the bishop. The king challenged the bishop and lost his life. The kings son ended up taking the throne with 4 vassals under an alliance a vassal didnt like the new king and left the alliance cutting off comms with the other vassals thus losing the whole alliance, The new king was enraged with fury not only from witnessing his father's humiliating defeat but also the fact that he lost the realm his father had worked so hard to build. Thus his villain arc began. He resented the Matriarch for sending such an unholy bishop to their once humble kingdom. He challenged the bishop with the intent of avenging his father and was successful the bishop died in fair combat. With this the Matriarch sent another bishop someone who became loyal to the new king even when his relations with the Matriarch dropped beyond repair. The king then appointed new lords in the hopes of repairing the kingdom and getting back its vassals. Its never easy though and others always envy what you have, the king had to put down some of his lords setting them as an example for the rest. Even his loyal bishop was ordered to kill a lord. Now with the Matriarch wanting nothing to do with the new king and his subjects he looks forth to conquering more than what his father ever had ambitions for.

Super fun game, could play for hours and hours but matchmaking takes ages and i dont like playing games like this solo.

Game is super fun very detailed for what it is. Only issue i have with it is that editing islands messes with the AI. I would like bigger islands for bigger kingdoms and bigger wars overall for a longer and more challenging play through. There's also not that many mods which is a shame but I imagine this game is probably very limited on the things that can and cannot be done.

One word to describe this game: Warcrimes.

Loaded up the game played for a few hours made my car look nice stocked up on fluids and food stored all the food in the trunk taking advantage of the physics lock traveled down the road longer stumbled upon a garage stop found a v8 engine put oil in the engine and stuck it into my car i then went down the road at 130+ kmh and seconds dodged a rock flipped my car rolled violently my trunk flew off sending all my food all over the place my mirrors wheels and many other parts scattered I couldnt be bothered to pick it all up proceeded to pull out a revolver i had found previously and looked down the barrel and pulled the trigger but seconds before pulling the trigger my game autosaved. 10/10 recommended.

matchmaking takes ages. I hope its just a bug or something. I sat in lobby for 20 mins and still couldn't find no one to play with so I just got off. Don't plan on trying to play this game again anytime soon.
