Being honest, as a fan of the franchise, this game was a huge let down. One of few games I can say was not worth my 80$. In it's current state, it is not good, although the DLC may change that. My issue is, they branched from what they new. Civilization branched from its original old time graphics and map display, and original mechanics, to make a more glorified and glossy version. I, a player who has played much of Civilization V and Civilization IV didn't like all the new mechanics and graphics. Especially when it came to workers, how could you limit the charges on workers????? I haven't played much of this game for a good reason, I think my 2.9 hours spent was more to listen to its impressive soundtrack. Im not going to lie, the music is amazing, the best Civilization soundtrack so far. In the end, a soundtrack isn't worth 60-80$, not even 35.99$. So, all in all, I believe that this game cannot really do justice to the Civilization franchise, I heard reviews all saying how good the game was, but it was a major let down. Once it was released, all the media attention stopped. If you were to buy a Civilization game, make it Civilization V, this game just dropped the ball. I hope the DLC will make it worth my money, because DLC is a big part of Civilization V, but I just don't see myself wanting to play this game.
