My subjective view:

The game itself is okay

Cons:
- The elephant in the room, limited barricades, my biggest problem with the game since sending orcs to Narnia by creating the longest and most efficient way while slaughtering them was the funniest part of OMD3, now it feels like there will be a meta on how to do different maps
-will probably get boring if you have everything since you do like 5 waves or sth on each map and get thrown onto the next map (on map 3 you will fight a boss)
-I dont like any of the hero's weapons except the blunderbuss
-Not really a story, just a short intro and then your thrown into the game with a few video tutorials instead of a "starter level"
-If you lowered the volume of the game in the ingame-settings instead of Windows, Video Tutorials and the Intro is super loud (might already be fixxed when you'r reading this)
-you have all heroes at the start instead of having the easiest to play and unlocking more and more while playing
-Maps feel like some were designed to have unlimited barricades and some to have limited (large open areas)
-no proper Endless Mode since you dont have unlimited barricades

Neutral:
+- Skilling and "evolving" traps is different
+- "Threads" aka powerups after each wave, yeah idk how i feel about it, its sth new

Pros:
+New and more heroes
+Skill tree (more to unlock and get stronger over time)
+I do like the lobby, feels better than being stuck in the main menu
+Visuals are great
+Gore is satisfying but gets repetetive (thats fine)

Conclusion: i will wait for a unlimited barricade mod, if you dont mind having limited barricades and having no endless mode you will probably have a lot of fun grinding

i loved the game before the update, but with the 1.0 version they just made everything better, weapons feel good, maps got way better, especially the harbor, it has such a good atmosphere
