Where to start..--

Once human is a survival looter-shooter, if you've ever seen or played rust its basically like that but set in a corrupted world engulfed in a thing called stardust, where everything organic and inorganic slowly gets converted into literal eldritch horrors who's sole purpose is to destroy and spread the corruption and convert everything else.

The goal / game play loop of once human (on the default PVE game mode) is to:
- Build a base: Starting out in a small 1x1 and expanding, upgrading the materials from wood to stone to bricks
- Hunt for food: Farming / agriculture, scavenging & looting POIs, or hunting wildlife.
- Obtain new armour and weapons: Either through stronghold POIs or gambling through the wish machine
- Upgrade gear tier: Through completing the story and getting deeper into the world map
- Enhancing calibrations: Through farming higher level zones and getting higher level materials
- Farm for supplies: Throughout the entire game world, be it either from scavenging POI's or mining, chopping, and fishing in the open world all over
- Explore and complete silos: Basically dungeons (its pre-static generated and the same every time tho)
- Fight gigantic bosses: Large bosses with unique mechanics
- Trade / Merchant / Barter: The game also supports selling and trading of in game materials to other players
- Team play: Join a HIVE to build with other people in a group, or join a WARBAND to wage war against other clans
- Memetic Specialisations: Every player is given COMPLETELY RANDOM specialisations every 5 levels selected from a random pool of 30, mix and match to create a completely unique character with sought after specialisations
- Time gated content: Each season (We're only in season 1 so I can't speak for other seasons at the time of writing this if i ever update this) has 6 "phases" and progression, material, events, gear, unlocks across many sorts, or locked behind each phase/season, each phase is 7 days.

Random points:
- THERE IS NO PAY TO WIN, even if there is a MTX store, you cannot gain an advantage in gear through MTX, its only cosmetics.
- PVP is basically exactly like rust, expect to get raided by 30+ man warbands and lose everything constantly
- At the current time I'm typing this: every single server is locked up and new players cant join; meaning if you have friends that want to join your server to play with you, they literally can't, but the devs have said they will be making changes to allow for new players to join
- 15 worlds to a server so you'll definitely be able to find a location for your dream house location
- Stardust zones are cross-world locations where it collapses all 15 worlds down to 1 world, typically for world events
- PRIME WARS: found within stardust zones where 40+ players meet together to fight a massive boss

Closing thoughts and remarks:
The game is incredibly fun, I find it really fun to be able to cooperatively build a base together, and being able to take over a territory and make it your own, through specialisations you can create exclusive items and buildings, and cooperatively decide what upgrades to get in a hive, meaning you can go and help your teammates by creating a workbench with special abilities, or power generators that give more power than base.

I guess the only complaint I have about this game in the current stage is really a mix between the time gated content and inability to farm for weapons you want; since the only way to unlock new items (besides the free weapons and armour through doing POIs) is to use the wish machine, which requires a currency called "starchrom", which can only be obtained once a week, so you unfortunately can't just play for a really long time and just be able to unlock everything you want, and since the end game really requires you to go full in on a build; you're effectively stuck to one build exclusively, without the ability to pivot to builds and play them.

I could probably go on for paragraphs and paragraphs on my likes and dislikes, but its honestly 90-95% good to bad, so I'll end it off here.

Very fun and good game, devs listen to the player base and actually care, highly recommend.

I've not touched this game in 10 years, easily logged 1100 hours and made a ton of good friends along the way.

Deciding to come back to TF2 and check out the new changes, and what I assumed was new weapons, I found that only 3 or 4 new weapons (non skins / re-skins) were released since the last time I played back in 2012.

None of the old community servers I frequented were alive anymore, so I decided to go and check out the default game mode match making, and not more than 20 seconds after getting into a match, was bombarded by 20+ sniper bots spinhacking and aimbotting on BOTH team, yes; BOTH. TEAMS-- but they were perfectly able to avoid one another, while effectively clearing out the entire lobby of any and all human players.

All in all, I personally- genuinely don't know how to fix this game, or what could even be done to bring it back from its current state.

if you're thinking about getting into TF2, I'd say you have two choices, either go to community servers where players are the admins and keep the servers clean, or stay clear of this game.

I really want to play Factorio, Mom!
Mom: We got Factorio at home.
Factorio at home:

Jokes aside, this is basically Factorio-lite with a twist on it, adding RTS elements, and actual programming in the late-game,

We were all waiting for the illuminates to drop, turns out the new faction we got instead was the final boss of the game; Sony Entertainment™ , they even managed to slip us a completely sight unseen major order: [Leave A Negative Review] , current progress appears to be at 65% with a end date of May 6'th.

On a side note, I've attempted to recover my (most likely breached) PSN account for the last 4 days to no avail, the website the login button on their website doesn't work, there exists no account password reset button, when attempting to get a account recovery email, the email is never sent, etc etc etc the list goes on.

In closing remarks, I highly enjoy the fact that ArrowHead has made it clear that they are not the ones pushing for this change, and are distancing themselves from this chasm that Sony Entertainment™ has created.

PS (Not PlayStation™ by the way.) : Did you know that prior to the automaton invasion, we had about 380k-390k players pushing across the entire galaxy, but after the automaton took cyberstan, we dropped down to a total of 150k-160k players?

PPS: Did you know that the developers actually spelt the name of the Bile Titans incorrectly? It's actually common knowledge that it's actually spelt Bēlë Tētōn, Pronounced as "Beelay Teetohn"

I'M DOING MY PART.

____________________________________________

I'm leaving the original review above for posterity. It appears Sony™ has backed down and realised that people that purchase, and play games, want to be able to continue playing and owning, AND having access to those games, who would have thunk it.

It's worrying honestly for the future of games that Sony™ decides to publish, cause they can, and most likely WILL pull stunts like this again, and those communities might not have the size and reach like this one.

Untill next time, Helldivers; Keep on ↑→↓↓↓'ing.

And as always, I'm doing my part.

Hey, back again with a new topic this time around: anyone notice how ArrowHead is now seemingly trying to finally "fix" the game after going down from a peak of 480k~ players down to around peak 70k (with a lowest night time of 28k (omg) ) ?

It really seemed like every time a weapon came out that changed how the game was played, bringing new variety, and playstyles, they just want to slap it down, strip it of all of its special characteristics, and then post it back up utterly maimed and handicapped (even sometimes completely changed to a unrecognizable version if itself)-- while also just straight up not fixing bugs for weeks and weeks on end, case in point:

----

Railgun : Meant to be high risk high reward, overcharge at your risk to get some really meaty devastating shots.

Pre-nerf Railgun: Capable of 2-3 shotting chargers, 6-8 shot Bile titans (all numbers come from almost fully charging in UNSAFE mode)

Post-nerd Railgun: Damage halved, effective damage lowered significantly- Chargers now die within 7-8 shots, Bile titans now take UP TO 18 SHOTS. (sometimes even as high as 22 in testing due to inconsistency / variance from charging shots)

Alternate world nerf idea: They could have made a two fold balance, that made the weapon both weaker AND easier to wield, by simply just increasing the time required to charge, making the bar charge slower decreases DPS, while also making the unsafe part more easy to manage AND consistent. (honestly I'm not sure but I've been told by a lot, that the railgun gains more damage as the bar gets closer to the top, not sure if its true or by how much since theres no actual official numbers.)

Concluding thoughts: Realistically I feel I understand the reason for this, but reducing the damage that much effectively just makes its so no one will ever use it because its not viable for anything, especially since they keep adding content that powercreeps / makes this unviable anyways.
----

Slugger: Shoots slugs, high stagger, high damage, medium to high accuracy at the cost of longer reload time over mag reloads,

Pre-nerf: Effectively the best all rounder gun, was capable of stun locking anything under Chargers, Biles, Hulks, Tanks. Also had the utility of being able to break fences and objects around the world such as container POI, Very useful as-- and fits utility and support playstyles.

Post-nerf: The damage feels fine, I personally don't really notice the difference, but the gun just feels lacking now, it can hardly stun anything under brood commander / berserker, its also lost the ability to break fences (boo!) along with its while identity of being a slug-shell gun.

Concluding thoughts: Although I understand the reason why they wanted to nerf the slugger so bad (cause obviously they didnt want a situation where everyone just rolled the slugger exclusively without playing anything else) It's completely stripped the gun of its personality.
The nerf was actually so impactful to the slugger, that the standard punisher AND the breaker do more damage, has more stagger, and has higher armour break potential now. (rest in peace punisher /breaker nerf after this comment lol)

-----

Scorcher: High up front damage, low ammo capacity, favours people of all distances, has a minisplash to compensate for said ammo capacity

Pre-nerf Scorcher: Was capable of taking care of walkers from the front.

Post-nerf Scorcher: Is not capable of taking care of walkers from the front. Not to mention they also added a buff to the walkers that prevent them from taking explosive damage from the back anyways, making this nerf far more significant.

-----

Eruptor: Incredibly devastating damage for all targets involved, insanely poor handling, strangely little to no armour penetration despite being medium armour pen?

Pre-nerf Eruptor: Shot out shrapnel that would decimate a bunch of low to medium class enemies, capable of wiping drop ship combatants by aiming at the underbelly, capable of taking down airships by shooting the underbelly, was relatively good at taking down shriekers in a radius.

Post-nerf Eruptor: Lost its shrapnel. It doesn't do anything now and no one uses it because its effectively just a incredibly hard to use anti material rifle that has less armour penetration, longer loading and reloading times. Why.-- They literally REMOVED the thing that made the Eruptor, the Eruptor. They removed the thing that made it stand out, as a individual weapon amongst the other weapons, It also doesnt help that they seemingly didnt help it by tweaking the other things, making the handling better, or increasing the armour penetration; what it does now makes the name of the weapon nonsensical.

Alternate world nerf idea: If they are so hellbent on removing the shrapnel, I'd dare say with the current state of the weapon itself, its low ammo + handling, it should be the first weapon to have high armour penetration, theres literally no world where I can see this sniper being used, ever.

Concluding thoughts: It was honestly shocking to me when they nerfed the eruptor; it really dawned on me that they were going to basically start nerfing anything and everything that people would run, even at the risk of just removing any and all identity from every single weapon.

-----

(this weapon got a stealth nerf thats undocumented.)

Heavy Machine Gun: Fire rate select version of the machinegun

Pre-nerf Heavy Machine Gun: Max firerate of 1250

Post-nerf Heavy Machine Gun: The third fire rate is now 950.
----
Arc Thrower

----
Quasar Cannon

----

----(I had to remove a large section because I hit the text limit)----

Closing statements: Arrowhead, you need to stop nerfing things just because a lot of people are using it. We're using it because theres simply no viable alternative-- or nothing is even remotely comparable. How about consider BUFFING the weak stuff, instead of NERFING the good stuff? You're also making the game harder at the same time, which makes absolutely no sense.

But at least we don't have to deal with PSN, right? TEXTLIM
