What is there to say about PvZ as a whole.
Well, Plants vs. Zombies is a simply causal strategy game that allows for experimentation with a wide variety of troops/ plants. This allows you to have funny and wacky combinations to defeat and play against zombies. The plants and zombies in PvZ 1 are all staples of the game that define what PvZ is. The art direction they wen't with is classic but timelessly simple as each plant and zombie with their designs communicates what each of them do, an example is the snow pea and football zombie: just alone with their design you can guess what they do.
With a simple and communicative art style they also made engaging and interesting game play as each world including the tutorial is always engaging (EXCEPT THAT CHOMPER LEVEL ON THE ROOF "LEVEL 5-5) which allows anyone to pick up the game and have fun, especially with the mini games (which PvZ 2 doesn't have) add's so much to the game. This simple but intuitive design allows for a timeless and fun game for anyone.
The soundtrack made and composed by Laura Shigihara will always be a classic as this sound track engages the feeling of each world which every good sound track will do but Shigihara does especially well. Every song is as defining and recognizable as can be.

This isn't really a review more a non-sensical rant of why I love PvZ 1, I adore the PvZ franchise (except PvZ 3) and wish more will be done with the PvZ IP
I hope they don't pull another Battle for neighbor ville, PROMOTE YOUR GAME EA/Popcap
