Cool concept and thoroughly enjoyable. The combat satisfying and there are heaps of mech customization options. My only complaint is the campaign missions are a bit short, though the wave mode is fun. I wish there was a campaign generator. Will pick up the DLC, will likely buy any sequel.

Feels more like an official expansion than CDLC. Great map, nice factions and cool guns that fit perfectly with vanilla Arma. I hope they add a desert T-72, BMP and maybe some other vehicles in a future update. Desert camo for the NATO vehicles would be great too. It has a pretty small hard disk footprint and a low price. Buy it.

Early Access Review
EYE Divine Cybermancy meets Maximum Action meets /pol/.

This isn't some meme game, it is fun, challenging and replayable. It has the best NPC lines since the original Deus Ex. There are heaps of guns and upgrades. The levels and enemies are weird and varied.

The aesthetic may seem repulsive at first, but after 15 minutes you can't imagine it being any other way. The garish look perfectly suits the nightmare.

Blacksuppositoried and debased, best game I have played this year.

Boring meme game that I got shilled into buying. Do you like cutscenes? I hope you like long boring cutscenes. Do you like open world games where you can make you own story? If so, steer clear.

This game is a masterpiece.

It is huge fun, very accessible, challenging, unique and fairly deep. If you love WH40K, Starship Troopers, RTS and/or strategy games, you will love Infested Planet.

The game is simple but not simplistic. The interface is clean and effective, controlling your units is intuitive. Despite being a strategy game, the balance of action and decision-making is excellent. The complexity of the game comes from the way the various systems (simple unto themselves) combine to provide a wide variety of situations to which the player must adapt. Despite the apparently simple gameplay, there is real depth here.

It is very easy to get playing. The story campaign starts with short easy missions, but ends up with massive slogs with full tech trees and hundreds of thousands of enemy casualties. You earn money to unlock new troops, techs and advantages along the way. You can emply many kinds of tactics from airstrikes to small high-tech squads with flamers and miniguns to large Imperial Guard-style meatgrinding charges.

The release of the dynamic "Planetary Campaign" DLC has greatly boosted replayability. The campaign will have you saying "just one more turn" and before you know it, hours have passed. The player can choose from five map sizes and five difficulty leves. Map layout and available techs are randomized. Part of me hates this (when I don't have my favorite tech available), but part of me appreciates that this forces the player to try new things, further extending the replay factor.

The graphics are fairly simple but very evocative, the sound design likewise. There are very distinctive aural clues to certain enemy types appearing, your bases being attacked, etc. When you close your eyes after a long gameplay session, you will see hordes of aliens in your mind's eye.

The developer is active on the forums and responds to the community. He has continued to support and expand the game.

Infested Planet is a master class on how to make a single player PC game. A clear vision, refined mechanics, trust in the players to understand and enjoy the game, customization and technical proficiency. I have not encountered a single bug (other than the millions my troops have splattered).

The one thing I would wish for is mod support.

Buy this game and all expansions, you will not be disappointed.
