No invert mouse option in 2024 is unacceptable. So i will not give this any more effort as this is a big sign of neglection.

I have had a great time playing this game. Im certain you will have it too.
A mix between Heroes of Might and Magic and Autochess with RPG elements.

Bought this before buying the newly released sequel.
I did this to play them in order.

Loved it at first. When the barony managing started i just wanted to stop playing. I don't play games to keep a time schedule. I do it enough at work. Never put timed events in story based games!
Other than this the game is fantastic. Such a shame that one bad decision in the game design destroyed it.
They should have put their effort and time they spent on the barony managing system on more story content instead.

My question is will feel the same about the new Pathfinder game?

It´s a long time since I played this game.
However this is the Terminator 3 we all have been waiting for.
Storywise I actually think this game is the best game of 2019.

If you are looking for CoD or Apex mechanics go somewhere else.

Initial review:

Early access in all its glory.
I payed, played and then refunded.

Early access with a high price usually means that the game mechanics are well refined and that it runs well but has limited content. Here they seem to have done it the other way around.
At this stage the game is mostly a find the right camera angle simulator and it crashes all the time. Not even the cutscenes are well refined.
Its kinda new to set a full AAA price on early access. In my opinion its not ok as it is not a finished product and most AAA developers dont utilize early access because of that reason. They have closed or/and open beta instead.
I hope that they will get out of early access. At this time i have no faith in that but if they do i will propably buy it again.

Revised review:

I rebuyed the game as i saw that they are supporting ARM-based systems. Works realy well on my M1 Mac mini. I'm pro ARM-based optimization so there is some competition on the market.
I still feel that the mechanics are a bit clunky but it is a biiiiiig improvement since last time i played.
I can play this game on full graphics on my Mac and the graphics are stunning. Really well done. They also have high quality voice acting.

So now this is a positive review instead. :)

Pros:
Zombies.

Procons:
Barely worth 20€ in this state.

Cons:
The crafting system just stacks more and more of the same thing.
No Creativity.
No logistics makes this game a walking simulator eventually.
Early Access is not the main bug testing platform.
The zombies looks like someone made them 1997.
During night waves the Zombies running towards you in straight line. Feels like a late 70s b-movie.

This is impressive!

But I start with cons.
It is kinda cheesy that the cars are hovering 30 feet over the ground and drive on the railings of bridges.
Not even New York is polished with textures and there are trees everywhere.
For a game that costs 69,99€ for standard edition i expect more on that front and that also generate more stuff that i dislike. I am willing to upgrade to premium deluxe but i can not find another way than buying the game as premium deluxe all over again for 119,99€. Hope this is not their intention because then they are punishing their players that like the game with their marketing strategy. Please correct me with a comment if there is another way to upgrade.

Now to the good stuff!
You have the whole world for you to fly. It is fantastic. I have revisited alot of places i have been to and i have enjoyed that alot. I work in the aviation business so I have moderate knowledge on how to fly an airplane but im grounded for life as i have type-1 diabetes. This game gives me my wings and im really happy to have this opportunity. How the planes work and all the stuff you can do from startup, take off and all the way to the landing is fantastic. The aircraft equipment is even more accurate than i expected.

Even that it sounds like im complaning alot in the beginning of this review i recommend this game and i would say 9/10.

Almost everything is fantastic with this game. Awesome story, great atmosphere and the voice acting is also really good.

But! You shall only play this game if love to open your inventory about 32059834 times an hour. That destroyed the whole game for me so i cannot recommend it. Survival elements are destroying almost every game nowadays. It's NOT fun! I don't play games where i have to remember to go to the toilet.

Most games nowadays have an open world with hundreds of repeatable elements that are just there to fill the empty void of that world, they forget about the story. So I enjoyed this game. Sometimes it's nice with a streamlined progress in a game. This kind of games need a well written story and this game has that.

The fights were not good. The spamming of the same enemies just felt copy paste. They could in my opinion just kept the bosses and maybe created some more of them. Focus on a few good fights instead of many bad ones. Make every fight feel like a new one.

The rot system seemed kinda misplaced in this kind of game. I missed the warning about that because the phone rang when it appeared. So i didn't know about it until mid game. Rouge like elements in a game with really long cutscenes is not a good idea in my opinion. This is not a game that you enjoy playing over and over again.

The atmosphere is fantastic and it really feels like you are in Helheim.

I would give it 7/10.

It worth the €9.99 but not a penny more. Seems that the only thing that have evolved in this game series is the textures and models. This was the ♥♥♥♥ 1997 but not in 2015.
