It's time to say a few words about my favorite "Sci-Fi Horror" game of all without spoilers of course.

But first of all - some personal recomendations:

- I'd recommend completing the original Dead Space game as Dead Space 2 continues its story.
- The game seems a bit easier after original Dead Space, so if you've completed it without facing many troubles in normal mode, then better if you step further and select a higher difficulty. This will give you some great experience as higher difficulty makes you weaker, enemies stronger and gives you less ammo.
- Play in headphones, because ambient, pitched radio voices and music in this game are great and must be heard very well. I strongly do not recommend a bass boosted headphones, but it's your call anyway.
- Turn the lights off in your room.
- Get something cold to drink, so you can freeze your nerves if you choose the highest difficulty.
- Remove all possible pets in your room, because they can jump on your table when you expect a necromorph to appear in front of you on your screen, but not on your table somehow. Pets are well known for their abilities to scare when you don't expect it.

Okay, now let's start with "some pros I'd like to highlight":
  • Finally Isaac has started to talk and got a good voice actor behind.
  • The story is well written, good twists and cutscenes are really creepy sometimes.
  • Death animation of Isaac and hostile NPCs - Always loved to see these different ways of death in a space massacre.
  • You can feel yourself like a Tony Stark since you wear a real "Iron-man suit" now.
  • Guns with very interesting designs that look like transformer's arms and cool animations.
  • Sound: Noises, ambient, music, character voice acting - all that fits the game very well, makes immersion twice better.
  • Combat and aiming systems are simple, you don't have to be a skilled person at aiming to play and enjoy this game.
  • Graphics is still good even in 2017.
  • Optimisation is just brilliant, I had no problems in any platform I played on.

Now it's time for some cons:

  • Despite well written dialogues, well directed cutscenes and scenario as a whole, these little plot holes such as objectives of the game which offer you to fix stuff running through dozens of enemies... It's just kinda disappointing: "Isaac, it's broken, go fix it". Okay I know he's an engineer, but when the same thing goes through the whole game so many times and continues till the end, makes me feel like developers gave up on this at some point. I'm sure Visceral Games' screenwriters could think up some great idea to make their project far more interesting. But that's just my opinion and I find it not good, don't take it seriously anyway.
  • The game is still short like the original Dead Space.
  • Hardcore mode: This's where I'm stuck. Compare to the original Dead Space Impossible Mode which wasn't that hard after beating the game multiple times, Dead Space 2 just destroyed me to cells... Sometimes developers just don't know where to stop cheating at gamers making enemies so much stronger and leave you with no ammo. And I'm not bad at games at all, so it's not a poor experience question. I'm good both at computer gaming and Playstation. And I'm a hardcore gamer, I always try to challenge myself. But this... This's is harder than Bloodborne on NG 6+ xD

My score to this game - 9.5/10

All written above - is my and only my personal opinion, notice that please if you're a crazy fanatic of this game who can't stand criticism even though there's almost none added.

I've played this game for a pretty long while and still play it, simply can't stop oO
Basically I launch drum & bass tracks in such styles as darkstep, techstep, neurofunk, liquid funk. From time to time I launch heavy dubstep which's mainly deathstep style and also, sometimes glitch-hop, neuro-hop styles of glitchy Electronic Dance Music - it's an amazing experience and makes about 90% of my races nearly impossible to finish with a good score. Tho probs I'm just a noob, but I still love it very much! xD
  • Gameplay: 10/10 (it's just perfect, nothing but your reaction stands between you and your high score).
  • Optimization: 10/10 (I had no crashes, no lags or any kind of bugs since my first play).
  • Music: 10/10 (of course it's so, because you can play with your favorite music).
  • Atmosphere: 10/10 (Simple stereometric lines drawing and bright colors - all this makes a cool cyberpunk atmosphere that reminds me of a "Throne: Legacy" movie).

  • Overall Score: 10/10 (What did you expect? 100/10? Sure, why not lol)
Additional benefits:
As a musician I can say - this game can really help you to learn how to listen to music, it forces you to listen to it deeper. Because otherwise your reaction is reduced to only the visual part of the game, but once you start to listen... You'll feel yourself like a true jedi/sith who can play it with your eyes closed.

Just use the force and have fun with this game, that's all!
