Borderlands "Rogue-Like"

Always a Unique playstyle every run and never a dull moment. All the Action time of Borderlands without any of the downtime that is "Grinding" out levels, gear, or questlines where later stages & bossfights turn into Solo-Raid level content.

~Thanks to Ice (one of the original devs for DD1), they've allowed REDUX to add the actual ENDGAME PROGRESSION & BALANCING that was missing from DD1 long since NIGHTMARE existed (since it was an afterthought & abandoned project on the original release).

Just from how the news & how much of the roadmap is posted by ICE, this review may be edited multiple times.

I know what you're thinking.... "But you've played ~1,000 hours of the game, how could you give it a thumbs down?!?"

~~TL:DR, Post Content past Lv 74 is just a glorified buggy drop rate grindfest with little to no payout in actual worthwhile gameplay content that rewards the player with skill vs RNG grindfest with a drop rate thats bugged due to old coding that never got fixed (level over-rolling to negatives, Ult++ gear being too strong for the code & causes it to drop as Lv 1 Cursed Gearsets).~~

That comes to the fault of the game "mechanics" that have been left as they were after the devs left & CDT couldn't come together to fix the main issues (not all CDT deserve the blame, you know who you are & ty for breathing some life back into a unique game) that make the game deserve a thumbs down where the bulk of the content is supposed to be in the game, Nightmare Difficulty:

- Item Level over-rolling into negative stats that makes gear impossible to get early on pre lv 74 / Nightmare Difficulty making gear grinding take ridiculous amounts of hours upon hours just to get a bunch of useless drops that always damage overflow into a low number & other missing key stats (staff charge rate, projectiles missing etc.)
- Unbalanced Gear: you can't just pick up any ol' weapon & effectively kill as say. . . vs an event weapon or a VERY SPECIFIC map weapon drop (good luck getting a good one due to all the gear issues/bugs that won't get fixed due to "elitist" not wanting the game to be fixed & be prepared to spend 2k+ hours just for a weapon that you might replace after ANOTHER 2k+ hours of "Gear Farming")
- Unbalanced Heroes (I'm looking at you Shock Tower & Striker Towers. . .)
- Melee is completely useless on most if not all maps due to flying bosses & even bosses that fly out of bounds. . . (looking at you Emerald City. . .)
- Speaking of Emerald City. . . horribly unbalanced by a certain individual. . . . .
- META builds (cough. . . . Shock Towers & Striker Towers galore. . .) & content severely unbalanced & pretty much forced to use said towers to even stand a chance or farm effectively. . .
- Don't Have a summoner? Cannot play most mid game to end game Nightmare Content & maps.
- Issues with not being able to switch characters in combat (lending to solo players needing to "build perfectly" or forced to play with 4 players or more at all times, especially new players, punishing non-"elitists".

In short, a classic unique game squandered by a ton of buggy coding from Nightmare that was an afterthought & then not fixed cause "the Elitist" community said NO to the game being fixed for the better of the community & the games living community lifetime that could've been had breathing fresh life as the game should've been in the first place & where Dungeon Defenders: Awakened should've gone.

Bought this game thinking I'd have friends to play with, they won't stop playing at degenerate hours late at night with no slots open.
Now my only friends on Monsoon are Turret 1 & Turret 2.

After playing Since the Opening of Alpha years ago w/8k+ hours logged, deffinetly reccomend for any MOBA fan. (God Pack is SOOO WORTH IT)

There's no going wrong with this one, appeals to every gaming aspect and lacked no content and will only want you wanting more with even more awe that only 1 person single handedly made this game from the artwork to the programming, a true sight to behold and immerse yourself in the world's beauty, and keep finding myself to keep coming back for more.
