Fun and engaging when you figure out the best spaghetti to make the thing do the stuff.

Funny thing is though that every single time me and/or a group of friend play Factorio, one of us mysterious falls ill. Don't know how, don't know why, but every single time, without fail, somebody falls ill. We call it the Factorio Curse. BUT, curse or not, that wont stop progress.

The factory grows and it'll take our life force to do it. The spaghetti wont tangle itself c:

10/10 would sacrifice to the factory again

Base game is fun in itself but all the huge number of high quality things on the workshop to go with a sandbox for endless destruction makes it even better

Strangely relaxing game, love just unpacking the boxes and placing them in the interactive environment and seeing the development of the owner of the items through the levels/years.

Can only hope that they'll create more level packs in the future, maybe with unique themes like fantasy or sci-fi etc. Either way I'd love to see more!

Early Access Review
The atmosphere in game can fill you with unease and even the smallest sounds can make anyone jump.

Tis spooky time.

Surprisingly addictive with a charming visual style and awesome soundtrack!

Plus tiddy clicking so that's a nice bonus right?

When the base game gets boring, BAM. Slap on some mods, not enough? Whapow, slap on some more. With enough flextape you'll be sure to keep it going smoothly.

....wait this isn't the flextape review page

There is no other game where you can play as an Australian huntsman with a kangeroo head riding an ostrich who's actually from New Zealand performing a Russian dance on top of the corpse of a French bird in a business suit with tentacle feet while said French Bird loudly returns from the dead behind you only to be burnt into a pile of ash by a sentient light bulb wearing a clown outfit while a Texan pug plays rock paper scissors with a Boston Ninja

Considering the goal to become an animator of sorts, I'm actually finding SFM to be a massive help towards that goal!

Half the 'negative' reviews seem to be from people who (apparently?) can't find tutorials or take the time to actually check the discussions tab about technical issues. Or, the fact that SFM IS resource heavy....for some cases.

Regardless, if the saxxy entries and various other animations made using this are that professional looking, plus the ability to port in custom assets, it's just there waiting for you to discover it's features! Now I've only recently started using this, I'm talking around 6 days or so!

One thing I can safely say to any other new users is that you're not going to download this and instantly become a professional. That or the chances are pretty unlikely, but here's what I recommend. Stick to making pictures for a while. Doing this will help you get used to the way SFM works, discover the use of it's various features and (with a quick search around YouTube or the guides tab) get help and see tutorials from various other users!

It's practically a free movie studio, if you've got the PC to run it then take a glance at tutorials and other guides before you really get started, you'll improve over time!

Update 18/02/2016
Almost a year has passed and I'd say I've gone pretty far with picture makin' and knowledge of the software in general, mainly just through tinkering around and the odd google search but overall, pretty grand! \o
