I've been playing this game since 1998 and i still haven't gotten bored with it in 2020.

Hunt took the Battle Royale system and added a PVE element to it in ways that I haven't seen in other games. This game is a lot more fun with a partner or two.

edit: this game is not what it was years ago; crytek is selling out for the CoD crowd. I no longer recommend this game.

Playing as the killer in a horror movie is wonderful. I get to march around picking up frightened teenagers and other movie stereotypes and hanging them on meat hooks to listen to them scream.

This game was definitely worth the play-through. Atmospheric puzzle-solving, with beautiful artwork.

Had a lot of fun with this game during the beta and developement stage. After launch and they released a second map and put the two on shuffle, however I only played the old map once for every 15 plays on the new map. I found this frustrating and I look forward to the addition of a map select function. Once such a feature has been added I'm sure the game will once again be enjoyable.

Every bad review I see is whining about the price and the cost of the DLC. New maps are going to be free DLC. Everything else is cosmetic. These people are essentially whining about how pretty their hunters and monsters are.

Gameplay is a lot of fun and has high replay value. I can see it getting monotonous if you do the same thing on every single map, but considering the options available to you and the variety of paths you can take? I've never had the same fight twice. Every encounter with the other team is different, and lots of fun.

Is it worth the price tag? That depends on the price you put on your own enjoyment. So far I've spent $60 on 30 hours of fun and I don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. If you break it down that way I'm paying $2 an hour for this game and that price gets cheaper by the minute.
tldr: if you don't like the price, don't buy it. No one is forcing you to buy their game. They aren't "robbing you" because you chose to pay for it. Get off your high horses about this.

I'm looking forward to playing this game for the rest of the year without getting bored once.
