this is the lamest version of backyard baseball tbh. No online play, limited stats and rng interactions, it's just kinda boring especially compared to later releases that you can still play on modern hardware for free.

Didn't play this for ages because of the art style but this game has sauce.

GOOD lol, I'll be honest there's a few games here that I wish were longer because they were so fun but at 9 hours I still haven't even looked at 1/5 of the games, it's rad.

This is like if Balatro was shallow and bad

this game kicks ass and will kick your ass. Once you stop panicking and start to memorize the patterns you feel like a god.

It's a decent game but it's just not finished and probably never will be. It really sucks because there's like 3 investigations which are super unique, and then 15 other investigations which all share the same gameplay loop but with different flavor text and artwork. When each run has you doing 5 investigations, you start to see the same stuff quickly. The quantity wouldn't be such an issue if they weren't all so similar.

On the upside the community modders are absolutely wild and have made so much more interesting content that perfectly fits the aesthetic.

I initially had this review positive but I think more people need to be aware how disappointing this game is and how unfinished it always will be. I really like this game but hate how the dev simply never fulfilled a lot of promises that were made when this game first launched into early access.

It's a cool aesthetic, you'll have some fun with it for a couple hours, but once you start to see repeating content and actually understand the gameplay, it's such a shallow and disappointing experience.

Unplayable on a laptop due to using the F1-F9 keys, but also just not as fun as the original game. I've played like 50 hours of CSD and think it's such a bummer they never really recaptured what made the original so fun. Like, it's not horrible, but there's just too much going on in a negative way imo

Wish the devs would actually, properly finish this game. It's one of the most unique, coolest things I've ever played, but it's so obviously unfinished and I doubt it'll ever actually be finished which sucks.

One of the most fun games I've played in a long time, but I honestly think it's gonna be worth waiting for it to leave early access. Currently the game does feel kinda limited and I think I'll get burnt out/ bored before I finish a single playthrough. There's also a lot of bugs, clipping through walls leading to death, and what seemed to be a memory leak or something, by the time you get on your 3rd or 4th case the game gets real laggy and slow while trying to access info.

But the first sandbox case is just so good and so fun that I recommend it for that alone. Despite all the flaws this is one of the coolest games I've ever played.
