Cute! It's clear the devs really loved these characters and I did too. I'm going to dress up as the detective this Halloween i think .

This game is GREAT. Story is whatever, silly writing you probably know what to expect. The gameplay is pretty simple, you just move characters and they take whatever actions on autopilot, you only really decide what actions they take based on where you place them. There's some hidden depth when you start to get more unique weapons and face harder enemies, but it's not that deep.

Also, with the new permadeath it's even more fun. You play a lot more cautious with your main story characters since if they die it means a hard reset (or you just lose the main story), and it's heartbreaking when a character who's rare or you've been using for ages dies.

Basically, I played this for 3 hours straight, thought it was only 1 hour, and had a lot of fun with it the whole time.

RNG can be a bit brutal, but it's easily the best minesweeper game I've ever played that does something more than the basic minesweeper experience we all know. It's frustrating at times, so just keep in mind if you want to play on harder difficulties from what I can tell it eventually just becomes "can you get lucky or not". For me, this is a fun little spin on the game and I loved it.

Lots of quality of life improvements over the original, the campaign is much better. However, as of right now there's a lot of features missing that makes it lose it's depth, so if you're wanting to pour hundreds of hours in you're probably going to need to wait a while for those features to roll out.

The multiplayer is much improved over the base-game multiplayer of M&B1, but again a lot of the highlights of multiplayer were with mods. When those come around, I imagine it'll be even more incredible.

Overall, this game is a massive improvement and refinement of everything that you could do in the original M&B, but there's still a lot of features missing before this is the perfect game that it could be. I'd still pick it up and check it out because it's absolutely worth it.

Really heckin addictive, tons of fun to build a city and if you're garbage like me there's a mod pre-installed in the game to give you infinite money. Big recommend

If you are ever doing well dont worry, the game will randomly decide to kill off your strongest fighter and there's not a single thing you can do to stop it from happening. Fun game mechanic m8

EDIT: the dev of this game is also some weirdo who keeps inserting alt-right politics into patch notes AND INTO THE GAME ITSELF. It's really not great and you definitely should avoid giving this dude your money for a game that kinda sucks anyways.

Sunk a lot of time into this game on console. Really really good, punishes stupid mistakes. I would recommend to anyone who likes tactical games.

The combat is a really solid turn-based RPG, which has an armor and health system that's pretty interesting and makes for some tough decisions on whether to break down an enemy's armor, or go for the kill. The story is really solid and in the short time that I've spent playing this game I already have made many key decisions that have effected the number of people alive in my party, and whether or not a character dies.

From technical standpoint this game is running swimmingly on my non-gaming modern laptop. It even has touch screen support, which actually works fantastically.

All in all I can see myself sinking many many hours into this game, and enjoying the experience the whole way through.
