This game is a mixed bag that, despite its potential, falls short in several key areas. First and foremost, the user interface and overall design feel overwhelming and cluttered. The game inundates players with instructions, making it difficult to navigate and enjoy the experience. This lack of clarity can be particularly off-putting for new players who are trying to get a grasp of the game mechanics.

The world feels impoverished and lacks the richness that could keep players engaged for the long haul. While it's understandable that this is a free-to-play game, the expectation is that it should still offer a smooth and enjoyable experience to entice players to invest in battle passes, skins, and other in-game purchases. Unfortunately, it currently falls short in this regard.

Performance is another significant issue. Even players with high-end PCs report that the game runs poorly on their machines. This is a major drawback, as smooth performance is crucial for maintaining player interest and ensuring a positive gaming experience. Technical optimizations and improvements are desperately needed to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for a broader audience.

Beyond the technical and design issues, the gameplay itself can feel like a repetitive grind. The game often boils down to a rinse-and-repeat cycle that can quickly become monotonous. While there are glimpses of great potential in the concept and design, it currently lacks the depth and variety needed to keep players coming back for more.

In summary, this game has the foundation of a potentially great title but is currently bogged down by a cluttered interface, poor performance, and repetitive gameplay. With significant improvements in these areas, it could become a standout in the free-to-play market. For now, it remains a game with great potential that is yet to be fully realized.

**After sinking over 3000 hours into this game, playing both as a survivor and a killer, I can say without a doubt that it's an absolute gem. Whether I'm working with teammates to fix generators and escape or stalking survivors as a terrifying killer, the thrill never gets old.

--Survivor Gameplay

Playing as a survivor is a heart-pounding experience. Each match is a test of nerves and teamwork. You have to repair generators while keeping an eye out for the killer, and the tension of hearing the heartbeat that signals the killer's approach is intense. The teamwork aspect is fantastic – you need to communicate and coordinate with your fellow survivors, which adds a lot of depth to the game. Moments like pulling off a perfect save or making a clutch escape through the hatch are incredibly satisfying.

--Killer Gameplay

Switching to the killer role offers a completely different kind of fun. There's something deeply satisfying about hunting down survivors, setting traps, and using each killer’s unique abilities to your advantage. The variety of killers – each with their own playstyle and backstory – keeps things fresh. Whether I'm playing as the stealthy Ghostface or the brutally powerful Oni, every match feels like a new challenge. Outwitting and catching a particularly elusive survivor is always rewarding.

--Variety and Updates

One thing that keeps me hooked is the constant stream of new content. The developers do a fantastic job of keeping the game updated with new chapters, which bring in new survivors, killers, and maps. The crossover content is a big highlight for me – getting to play as iconic horror legends like Michael Myers or going up against them adds an extra layer of excitement. The game's lore and the backstories of characters also add depth and keep me invested.

--Customization and Strategy

Customization is another strong point. There are countless ways to personalize your characters with cosmetics and perks. Experimenting with different perk builds for both survivors and killers keeps the gameplay fresh and allows for a lot of strategic depth. Whether I'm optimizing my survivor for stealth and quick escapes or creating a brutal, efficient killer build, the customization options add a lot of replay value.

--Community and Atmosphere

The community around this game is another big plus. Despite the occasional toxic player, I've met a lot of great people and had countless memorable matches. The atmosphere – from the eerie maps to the intense sound design – is top-notch and really draws you in. It's clear that a lot of love and effort has gone into creating a genuinely immersive horror experience.

--Conclusion

All in all, this game continues to captivate me even after thousands of hours. It's a perfect blend of horror, strategy, and teamwork that offers endless replayability. Whether you're a fan of horror games or just looking for something exciting and different, I can't recommend it enough. The developers' commitment to keeping the game fresh and engaging ensures that I'll be sticking around for a long time to come.
