Okay before i say anything i should explain how i grew up on games like Cod and Halo on the xbox and xbox 360+
specifically:
Cod 4
Cod WAW
Cod black ops
Cod black ops 2
Cod ghosts
Cod advanced warfare
and from there i transitioned to playing games on PC like Counter Strike, Valorant, and even TF2 back when i was younger where I played in the top ranks in each of these games and even went to play in tournaments for prizes.

Campaign/Story mode: the Campaign was honestly amazing i have little to no complaints about it, definitely one of the best if not THE best cod campaign ive played even tho id probably choose the older games for nostalgia
the one issue i had was a visual glitch with lights shining through EVERYTHING in the game during certain missions which made the game unplayable, but i somehow fixed it through searching up things on google about the issue

Customer Service: WARNING there is ZERO customer service, when i first bought this game i was locked out of my account due to me using an old YAHOO email which apparently isnt supported by the games developers and it kept me in an infinite loop while i tried changing my info (kept saying things like "we sent an email to your email" but never actually did, i tried effortlessly to contact ANYONE through their official site but had no success for hours and hours straight until i was RANDOMLY able to change my email and got back into my account soon after
still tho if that didnt happen i would have technically payed 70$ for nothing and that is insane that activision is such a big company and STILL has ZERO customer support
it makes me feel unsafe with my money and account and is a big reason ill probably be quitting this game

Performance issues:
With that out of the way my first impression of MW2 was great, my friend hyped me up about it and even contributed like 20$ for me to buy it at 70$ full price
immediately i was happy about it, was having fun with friends brainlessly playing multiplayer and then trying the new DMZ mode which is like warzone mixed with elements from a fun and popular game i also play called Escape From Tarkov.
but then i realized the performance suddenly while getting into the sweaty lobbies since this game has skill based matchmaking
i have a 3060ti and a Ryzen 7 CPU with 16gb RAM and a 144hz 1ms monitor
and i constantly get random stutters in multiplayer, CANT play anywhere even near 120fps without lower all my settings to the point where the game is visually painful to look at and i STILL get inconsistent 109-180 fps
depending on the map
some maps its horrible, while other maps its almost completely fine
and im not even going to start with warzone ground war or DMZ because
1. i cant play warzone because of how choppy and stuttery the low fps is 90-120fps
2. ground war i get literally 70-90 fps with horrid stutters
3. DMZ is the only one thats playable for some reason and i think its mostly because in DMZ you fight alot of NPCs which is just easy and you dont need good reaction time/good aim which the ♥♥♥♥ performance impacts so i probably dont notice it as much 90-130fps

NOTE: i have tried so many different things to push my pc to run a little bit better and nothing really has worked other than reverting to an older Nvidia driver that MW2 was "built for" and even doing that i get lower frames than before but it just feels a little better but nothing has helped other than lowering all the settings and turning specific settings off and setting my PCs settings to High Performance.

Gameplay issues: at first glance the gameplay was perfect and just seemed like a regular call of duty game (havent played call of duty since the games i mentioned in the first section of this review so i didnt really expect anything new)
it was fine for awhile but again as i mentioned before i got into the higher skilled lobbies and it just became this clusterf*** of people spamming their jump keys the second they either see someone or shoot
and people instantly proning
and yes you can argue that its a beneficial play style but it feels so dumb and looks so stupid
i dont mind the sprint jump peeks, i even do that like everytime i swing a corner
but spamming jump is so dumb looking and 90% of the time i still kill the person doing it but it still leaves me feeling weird

Money grabbing: the game itself is 70$ USD which is understandable (slightly) with it being a mainstream call of duty game
but that ontop of the ♥♥♥♥ performance on a rig like mine is ridiculous, ONTOP of that the cosmetic bundles are crazy priced
the only ones worth buying arent 10$ or even 20$ but 25$+ and thats INSANE to me with the game beind so expensive AND unoptimized
i miss when games were 60$ and then they had map DLCs where its 10$ per map pack or something similar
i didnt even REALLY have too much of an issue with the cosmetic prices because i dont feel the need to spend so much money since the battlepasses have been really nice + the camos you can unlock for free are decent enough to use
BUT the Season 3 Battlepass that came out either yesterday or this morning was ridiculously hyped and my friend was getting me excited about it ONLY for it to cost 40 f***ing dollars????
you buy the battlepass then find out that the only ♥♥♥♥ thats even somewhat good looking is separated by a f***cking 30$ paywall AFTER you buy the pass itself
its sad and the only reason ive spent so much money on this game is cuz of how nice some of the cosmetics look and how much it gave me "THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT"
i always felt like i NEEDED certain bundles that fit my aesthetic for when i did come back to this game since i currently am burned out and have no fun nor do i wanna play due to the issues im mentioning
i also immediately regretted buying the pass and i have NEVER seen a game to something this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money grabby
it almost feels like they literally just stole my money
i remember mentioning to my friend before this season released how the only thing bringing me back to this game was the new black and golden battlepass skins (which are 30$ extra AFTER you buy the battlepass) because of how hard of a grind the last pass was which brings me to my final complaint..

Battlepass Progression: to be blunt its just horrible, its not based off of how well you do since i can play through an entire domination game and get 60+ kills and win and i still get the same amount of progression to ONE token that i get when i play and lose with like 10 kills
its insane
and ONE token is ONE FIFTH of a battlepass tier
it took me playing every single day a couple hours a f***ing day to finish the last pass and the only reason i finished the first one is because i bought the vault edition when i first got the game which let me skip 50 tiers

Summary: i definitely regret wasting hundreds of dollars on this game, due to the HORRIBLE performance, INSANELY boring and repeditive gameplay, money grabby store and the RIDICULOUSLY long grind to finish the battlepasses in this game
and MOSTLY regret buying this new seasons battlepass due to how you dont even get everything in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pass unless you spend an extra 30 F***ING dollars which leads me to assume im probably not gonna finish this battlepass and am most likely going to uninstall and quit the game after this season
i was planning on putting a bunch of money into building a really nice PC with a new ROG Strix 3090 white GPU and an I9 13900K cpu
but i dont think ill play this game even after that because of how ♥♥♥♥ everything is
if it was only a few of these issues id be able to probably suck it up and deal with alot of it but with ALL of these being pretty big issues and they seem to be not doing anything about the things they are able to fix id GLADLY accept a refund which would ATLEAST make me feel a little bit less bad towards the people behind this game
so please refund me if possible.

I definitely recommend this game and thats coming from a veteran halo fan that absolutely loves halo but also plays games like CSGO and Valorant in high ranks.

Pros:
the graphics even at very low quality are amazing and thats honestly surprising, normally with halo i do picture the game to look as realistic as it does but it does keep the old halo aesthetic. Personally i dont miss the way the spartans looked back in Halo 4 and 5 as they were more thin and athletic looking, the way they made the spartans in Halo infinite is fine. It is sort of a mix of Halo 4-5 and Halo 1-3 which honestly feels more modern but also brings me back to the original 3 and that honestly is SUPER nostalgic
Second the gameplay is AMAZING, ive gotten so hooked on it that ive been getting into grinding for max rank in ranked. The gunplay and maps work VERY nice with eachother and i find myself sometimes using different guns aside from the ones that are easiest to use and kill the quickest in even ranked sometimes just to spice things up
ranked being my favorite to play of course (definitely suggest Queing with people you know and not randoms if you wanna hit max rank)

Cons:
sadly the microtransaction system is pretty busted with some bundles costing up to 20 dollars for an armor set armor coating and maybe some armor attatchments stances and emblems but realistically they need to make money somehow and atleast its not as bad as valorant skins are where you have to pay up to 80$ for a fully upgraded skin.
and personally some items/bundles i dont mind buying because i want to support the Devs and also really like some of the things theyve added into the shop
it is sucky how you cant customize like in older halos without spending a bit of money but i think that will change in the future with constructive criticism.
theres somewhat crash issues that depend really on your graphics settings and PC specs combined.
i personally have only crashed about 4 or 5 times since the launch of the multiplayer beta but have heard of quite alot of people crashing alot more often than me.


all in all i rate the game itself without considering the paywall they have cosmetics behind an 9/10
but if i considered how greedy it is with the customization (which it is even tho most popular games are similar we are talking about halo here which has always had a wide range of free customization.)
it would have to be a 7.5/10
hopefully they atleast add lots of things to unlock for free or through grinding the game somehow like in the older halos through achievements.
I definitely recommend you download this game and try it out if your computer can run it well especially since its FREE and ESPECIALLY if your a halo fan and like competitive games such as CSGO and Valorant aswell :)
and coming from someone whos owned and played EVERY single halo game released i think this is a game that is definitely mostly for halo fans but also non halo fans will enjoy it as well just off of gameplay.

A friend of mine gifted me this game and other Chilla's Art games but this one is so far my favorite i have played yet.
The collectible cans were very fun to hunt and helped calm my anxiety down with how spooky and scary this game seemed at some time. Even with some of the bugs that ive experienced id still rate this 9/10 for how well they put this game together.

So much to learn, i haven't even learned most of the game yet I fully recommend it if you like Diablo or any other RPG ig

very pretty looking game
i instantly bought this game when i heard it was released on steam
saw a bunch of youtubers play it a few months ago and was very interested in it since im a big pubg fan
as it is in alpha and is early access it has a few bugs here and there but overall its worth the money
i highly suggest you try it out and if you dont like it you can always refund it
100% worth the 24.99$

March 2022 Edit: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, i barely got to play it since i had irl ♥♥♥♥ going on and when i was able to actually play the servers were cut
devs took the money and dipped on the community
so basically anyone that bought the game wasted 25$ and we arent getting refunded because of the time its been installed.

The best casual and competitive game i have player, might need a decent pc to run it but 100% worth it. Needs more in game cosmetics tho :) add new crates

This is probably one of the best free to play games ive tried out, already bought the founders pack and spent a bit money on this game to support it(got the coolest looking AK skin)
(the only thing to spend money on is weapon skins this game is not pay to win)
everything that effects gameplay is given to you by playing the game
i highly suggest everyone who likes CSGO or COD to try this game out

its an overall great game if you enjoy grinding

This is an amazing arcade FPS! I highly recommend this game for everyone into gaming!

EDIT 8/3/2024:
The game for the past few years has been infected with spinbotting bots that instantly kill you when visible
but recently they (sorta) fixed the issue with massive bot ban waves i think for the first time in years, so im going to make a long in depth review.

TF2 has been an all time classic for me and is very nostalgic since it along with the counterstrike series, has been my introduction into PC gaming
but it pains me to say this
the community is horrible
let me explain.

ive been consistently trying to come back to TF2 for the past 5 or so years but the biggest thing that kills this game for me other than the bots which are now id say 95% gone
has been the community.
most of the time its a very friendly experience in casual but ive noticed especially now in 2024
that there is alot of anti social people that are usually LGBQT for some reason and are almost always completely insufferable
they constantly over sexualize everything whether it be talking about things like gay sex or femboys
or other things that i just dont wanna read or hear about when playing a childhood nostalgic game
it genuinely disgusts me how whenever i speak up about things like this im the one thats in the wrong and gets kicked when i really just want to enjoy the game for the mechanics and gunplay.

Another thing i need to add about this community is that there is a big issue with being friendly
let me explain what being friendly is...
its when people pull out either a weapon that doesnt look harmful
or just a melee weapon
and they crouch walk up to you and just sit there expecting you to not kill them.
i have been kicked multiple times in a CASUAL PUBLIC game over killing friendlys
ive been ignored by healers because of killing friendlies
and relentlessly ♥♥♥♥ talked and griefed for it

when i was younger it was fun and wholesome to have a lobby of people just hanging out
or even just a small group in a part of the map just chillin was fun
but now that bots are gone i would like to enjoy casual for the first time in so many years so it pains me to see a handful of people trying to push the "friendly" ♥♥♥♥ when you can go to community servers that have no kill areas specifically for that...

i do want to add that i have NO issues with people being LGBQT
i just very much dont want to have to read or listen to over sexualized gross things in a video game i used to play when i was around 12
its very unsettling when i dead ass just wanna have fun and i see what seems to be extremely anti social people pretty much sexting in the game chat
i really wish people would just keep that private because i very much dont care to see that and i know for a fact alot of kids play this game so i really think that valve needs to start blocking certain words in all chat/team chat.

other than what i mentioned about this games community
its an AMAZING game
i like to think about it as the better overwatch with even better customization
i think even without the cosmetics i still would occasionally play this game and that says quite alot because i mostly play games for the self expression/customization through cosmetics.

i give the game a solid 7.5 out of 10 considering how annoying the community can be
and ignoring the community i would say its about 9/10
