Undoubtedly deserving of a seat of celebration and remembrance among the greatest pieces of video game media ever created. 9.5/10

Only complaints: (the missing .5)
- Camera is too restricting (I want to behold my lavish palaces and imbibe the natural surroundings)
- Building stairs is horrible
- No mass delete/mass build options
- No character voice options
- Inability to interact with water in any way whatsoever feels odd, out of place, and too restricting
- Getting knocked off horses is pretty tiresome as it can be caused by every single type of damage
- No rapiers/fencing swords of any kind???? The sommelier boss has one???
- I've sat here for a while now and I just can't think of anything else. Really. It's that good.
Now go play it.

I deeply wish that a "mixed" recommendation was an option, but I'll go with negative because the most important part to me about this game is very lacking in this expansion. That being, the story. This is not something I write with any glee.

• Highlights of the main story: 4/10 (Below Average)

• Battle Content & Duties: 10/10 (Masterpiece, they are best they have ever been)
  
  
• New Area Design: 5/10 (Okay, but the slog of questing prevents this from being higher)
  
• Worldbuilding/Lore: 6/10 (Above Average, but they really failed to connect past world events to the new areas)
  
  
• Highlights of the OST: 9/10 (Near Perfect)
  
• Lows of the OST: 3/10 (Disappointing and Poor)
  
  
• New Jobs: 8/10 (Great)
  
• Job Changes: 7/10 (Good, but some are disappointing)

Once again, making this a mixed expansion. Its saving grace is absolutely the very fun battle content which is unmatched thus far.

Some of the most fun I have ever had playing a video game, as well as some of the most outstanding and gripping storytelling, has come from this game. Playing FFXIV is still absolutely worth it for everything that has come before this, so new players should not be discouraged!
I'm simply disappointed that the first expansion I've experienced on launch had to be this one. Square, don't be so risk-averse. I'll give one more expansion the benefit of the doubt.

like the bestest game ever made... just dont buy it on steam unless you want the ultra gabe newell turbo tax on every single sub and item store purchase. honestly this game is gridmeist though, i aint afraid to say it

While it is overall less memorable than the previous two games, it remains, in my opinion, the best installment yet.
