Without question - the greatest game I have ever played.

The roguelite mechanics flow flawlessly into the story. I've probably played for about 50 out of my stated 84 hours [Leaving it on overnight and while at work :D] and none of the introduced systems have lost relevance.

And as always, the art and music direction of SuperGiant games is incredible. The voices are as good as ever, incredibly performed.

And the mechanics are well done. Almost none of the boons feel completely useless, usually I write off ones I don't like as "Not my style" or "I'm too dumb to figure out how to properly use this."

And as far as their knowledge of the mythology they are messing with - the amount of references to even obscure stories is impressive. Anytime they deviate from "canon" there are so many nods that let you know they did this intentionally. Every interaction is a delight.

Without hesitation this will be my answer to people asking me what my favorite game is or what I think the greatest game created is.
