Apex used to be a great game; the monetization was reasonable. The latest FF7 thing - which was what prompted me to look in again, as I've been a fan since the OG 25+ years ago - had me check out the prices. $360 for cosmetics? What the ♥♥♥♥?!?

Devs, y'all are fine. This is a middle finger to the marketers and business idiots ruining gaming.

Honestly, this is a super cute mix of Zelda, roguelikes, and strong lesbian energy - I am super excited to play the full game now when it comes out. The gameplay was intuitive to pick up yet surprisingly deep for so short a time, so waiting for release happily :)

It's just a fun idle game, honestly; I didn't mean to sink in as many hours as I have over the last week or two, and I mean most of that is idling time, but even then, yea. It's been fun for its purpose - something to do when I want something to do~

The only caution is it definitely has tons of ways to spend money, and you can definitely P2W to some degree but since there's no competitive element, who cares? What little $ I've spent I view as thanking the developers for the fun I've had. Still, something to be cautious of if you are prone to spending on lootboxes.

Short but clever Metroidvania. It will only take a few hours to beat, but they are really fun ones with a unique gameplay experience!

It's X-Com re-imagined in a way that both preserves the spirit of the original, yet brings it to life in a new and refreshing fashion!
