This game is amazing... Yes it is in BETA (EA) but it is very polished for being early access. There are caveats just like any EA game though, such as minor bugs here and there. The latest update made the armory back room gun wall so the guns are "inside" the wall and not visible, but the devs are aware and working on it. Just like any bug that is reported, the devs are highly active and do listen. That in itself is what sets this game apart from most EA titles, is the activity from the devs and their high level of involvement with the community.

The other thing to note is that this is the "only" game i have seen on the market so far that is Tarkov in VR. No, it doesnt have the same level of customization as Tarkov, but it does have attachments you can put on your gun. Those attachments however, can be placed anywhere YOU choose on that rail. Like your sight up close? Slide it closer. Like it in the middle of the rail? Slide it in the middle. This level of customization is the first ive seen in a VR title, placing it literally where you want it on the rail, and not "snapping" into place, but snapping to the rail and sliding where you want it. So the customization are limited currently to 'x' amount of different types of attachments, but they are there, and i imagine that more will be added as the game develops, because there's certainly room for it!

They recently fixed the drawers in the armory so that items placed in them will stay in the drawer when you slide it back in (inside the bounding boxes). I've never seen this in VR either! I was amazed when i realized that you could do this! Like Tarkov, you have an inventory to stash the items you come back with from a successful raid. However, in this game, your inventory is what you can see and physically touch! Just like in the real world, you walk into your gun room and "see" your weapons in front of you, and not in a list or a thumbnail of it. So when you gear up to go on a raid, you "gear" up to go in a raid. Grab your gun and put it in your holster, grab some mags and put em in your pouches on your chest rig. Oh, dont forget to put the pouches on your chest rig! Your chest rig is customized by you, as the placement of your pouches is where you put them on it. Talk about custom inventory.. this game makes your gear "truly" yours....

The game is definitely difficult because it is based on your skill (not point and click reaction time). Aim for your opponents and listen to your surroundings. Run around like a jack-rabbit and get killed. Use tactics and survive. A true mil-sim in Tarkov style.

Tabor is the Tarkov of VR, and I highly recommend this game to any military simulator, survival, shooter, or PvP fan. Worth the buy, and at this price ($20 as of this review), it is actually worth more. I'd still buy this game at a $30-$40 price tag, because yes it's worth it for all the hard work and dedication they put into it.

There's always a refund option if it's not what you expected so in the end, what do you have to lose? Be prepared to die though, it is a mil-sim after all, but the game does make it easy to just get right back in after you learn it. Tip: don't rush... take your time and be aware of your surroundings and LISTEN: sound is everything and it can save your life (or get you killed).

TL;DR
Buy it, its amazing. Survival game that meets every expectation of what a survival game should be with a large community base and mod support for game longevity.

Game is definitely worth purchasing. If you like survival games, then this is a must have in your list. It will keep you entertained for hours to weeks on end, and perhaps even longer, especially with the workshop. The devs have made plenty of new maps to explore, and the community has added many great maps as well.

The core game itself is the usual survival basics, but with dino's being tameable, adding to your overall strength, it adds its own unique mark on the genre of survival games. You cannot beat the game by yourself, and you must get dinos on your side. This aspect makes the game enjoyable even in a solo setting because you can surround yourself with your new crew of massive and small dinos, each serving their own purpose.

The graphics are also amazing in the game. Stunning scenery and detailed dinosaur patterns which differ from one dino to another, even of the same species. Some being vibrant and some being common but all can be unique. The landscape can be breathetaking at times as well. The amazing quality of the textures in the game alongside the massive amounts of entities on screen at once, and not suffering from performance issues gives this game an awesome experience that alot of games fail in and struggle to achieve. This is also dependent on your system of course, don't expect it to run on a toaster, but you wont need a supercomputer either.

Mod support gives the game a breathe of life in playthroughs, enabling you to play the game over and over again after you've already reached the end of every official map, changing anything in the game. The community is vast and very helpful, enabling this game to have a very long lifespan.

FOREWARNING:
This game can get MASSIVE in storage requirements!!! When writing this review at 370 hours played, my space requirement is 252 GB. Yes, it is HUGE! But if you have a drive large enough, it's worth it. Of course bear in mind I have alot of the DLC's and workshop items as well, so the space requirement when initially installing the game may be alot smaller, yet still larger than most average games.

Not a solo game! Teamwork is a neccessary component of this game, and for a person who enjoys solo play most, this game does make the teamwork more enjoyable (for those who dont like people).
