Digital Greed Simulation : looks like they are becoming the World of Tanks of modern jets.

***August 2019 UPDATE*** : As i predicted, what a surprise !

You want to play the new F-16 DLC ?
Well, just spend MORE than a nowadays AAA game, simple ! 70 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bucks for ONE plane ! :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

For 10years now, DCS greedy devs got the ONLY decent modern realsim, and it allows
them to overprice their products in a way almost unique in gaming history. The previous product, Flaming Cliffs, had honest prices. DCS is borderline a SCAM.

So !
Just spend TONS of CASH for what could have been an Honest deal, that became a greed whirlwind : considering the sh/tload of bad reviews about their greed, which has become out of control, you decide.
They decided to go FULL GREED and now consider their customers as dumb Milk-Cows.

You are comparing uncomparable.
In star citizen are phantasy vessels.
In DCS are real aircraft with as accurate flight dynamics simulation and systems modelig as possible. It takes around 5 year to just make one aircraft to DCS because of its high realism quality. In Star citizen you buy vessels but you don't have to because you will be able to get them much cheaper way once the game is finished. You just support developers and the vessel is just symbolic reward.

But in DCS, like I wrote, you buy something which is near the profesional level aircraft simulators. Also addons for DCS are one of the cheaper in flight simulators.

Firstly, DCS World is not sold at full price. DCS World with Su-25T and TF-51 is free. You can easily get 30+ hrs of simulator time in these aircraft alone for free. Secondly, each aircraft in itself are a stand alone simulator. A-10C Warthog and Ka-50 Blackshark were previously stand alone simulators that have since been integrated into DCS World.

I have over 100+ hrs of sim time and I am not even scratching the surface in learning what this highly advanced air combat simulator has to offer. Each non FC3 aircraft are so detailed, you need the real world start-up checklist just to start the thing up its so complex and realisticly modelled.

Triy looking at TrainSim 2015 if you want to see DLC $ overload. DCS regularly offer huge discounts on packages. I have 63hrs play-time just on the free SU-25T, so they are hardly giving people little content for free.
