As a former WoW player, and with 70~ hours on FFXIV, I think SWTOR is a close combination between the two games!

This game is way more story-driven than WoW, with way more solo friendly content. This content extends to Free to Play players as well, although there are restrictions for not having a sub. Those restrictions will be a hindrance when you get to later levels, but honestly... it's still not a bad package.

If you love Star Wars and MMOs, this is the game for you!

As someone that has spent years playing WoW, FFXIV just hits differently - it feels like it caters to more of a casual crowd, with activities that aren't quite as timegated as WoW's are. Combat feels different enough to keep it fresh, and one character can be every class in the game.

Unlike WoW, FFXIV also has console/controller support as well on PS4/PS5. I'm hoping we'll get Xbox soon, but this is Steam so... PC master race =D
