This is one of the best games I played in recent years. It's unique, never played anything like that before. It's action packed, filled with mechanics, weapons and offers itself to players choice and preference of tactics. Rich atmosphere, true to the Alien franchise - it will wear your nerves and get your blood pumping.
There are still some bugs to iron out but all in all, this is a masterpiece. I really hope to see a sequel or an expansion.

Partisans 1941 is great. You command a cell of partisans in the height of the eastern front war, starting with a three men team and recruit more characters long the way.
The missions are in real time but time can be slowed down so you can issue orders and execute coordinated attacks or plan without rushing to issue commands.
Strong emphasis on remaining hidden but combat is still a core component of the game. Effective weapon range, cover, suppression and flanking are in effect. I really enjoy combat in this game, it feels authentic and it’s gratifying.
Weapons and ammo are scarce and you’ll have to scavenge and distribute ammo between your team members often.
In between mission you’ll be in your hideout and send you team to collect food, build structures and execute missions by themselves (with certain success chances) in a way that resembles XCOM 2 WOTC.
The development studio is Russian and that has a strong presence in the game in several ways. It doesn’t follow western culture sensitivities to violence and depiction of war. One of your team members is 13 years old, for example. The projected hatred to the Nazi occupation is high, the atrocities they committed is depicted often. When you take down sentries with a knife there often is a struggle, it’s hardly ever a clean and silent takedown (one of the characters even spit on the corpse as a final gesture). So the overall sense is of a real killing, and a real combat.
I especially love the fact that the game hands in opportunities to lay down sophisticated ambushes, combined with diversion, explosives use, movement and flanking.
Each of the characters has its own specialties, like explosives, medical, disguise, heavy weapons, knife takedowns and much more. The characters portraits are a bit over the top as you would expect but they are very much like-able.

If you like planning and executing ambushes you’ll love this game. If you like sneaking around in stealth you’ll love this game.

Wonderful full blown simulation that comes REALLY close to real life and still keep it enjoyable. Apart from that, the campaigns are very entertaining and I just love the story behind them. It really tells these people knew what they were doing when they developed this game.

It's a bit hard to grasp all the controls and the operations of the different stations of the sub, but there's a wealth of information on the net and detailed tutorial videos on YouTube.

Great entry game for modern subs. It focusses on the tactical aspect rather than operating the different stations of the sub. It lets you be the sub commander rather than all the submarine operators.
It's a modern sub game on speeds, the engagements are fun, the graphics are wonderful, the controls are rather few and easy to remember.
Tactically, there are some misrepresentations of how sensors work in real life, like ESM, but the compromises are reasonable to keep the gameplay simple.
Once you master the controls and the logics of stealth and detection, the game is really satisfying. If you have any interest in modern submarine warfare, make sure to get this game.

This is a great game with a strong narrative. It feels like a personal adventure. If you want the most out of this game, unbind your quick save key and load saves only from safe houses. The experience will be much more meaningful.

Damn, if this is only the Alpha, what can we expect in the beta and the full game?!
