Minor puzzle spoilers ahead, be warned!

This has the bones of being a fun game, but on the whole just disrespects my time too much. It has a lot of really fun and intriguing puzzles that get bogged down by the sheer RNG factor. The roguelike nature of drafting a new house each day is intriguing, but it doesn't feel like there are enough permanent upgrades.

In many cases you need to not only draft a specific room, but be able to find three specific items to combine into another item to actually do what you need to do in that room; it just doesn't feel like the player has enough they can do to mitigate the whims of RNG and more than once I was left having drafted a full house and made no real permanent progress.

I think a journal or quest 'handholding' system for those of us not clever enough to take well-organized notes along the way could be a big help in the 'respecting the player's time' department also. Too often I was left trying to connect dots with only half the dots present, knowing that I had surely seen what I needed to see before but not having taken a good note on it myself. The sigil puzzles in particular are something I could have pieced together if presented with every interactable all at once in a Journal/Database system, but by the time I came across them it was already obvious that I was missing large pieces of information due to my own poor notetaking.

I did really most other puzzles in the game, particularly the Parlor Puzzles and Dartboard Puzzles. Anything that didn't require obscure bits of information or rely on RNG to line up tended to be quite fun! As it is, then game just doesn't feel like it respects my time enough for me to be able to recommend it.

A game that started off quite enjoyable but has, over time, suffered from the devs approach to balance. They nerf anything that gets popular or is used a lot, without understanding why people are using that weapon the most. They said in the past that they were going to do better in this regard, and the latest round of balance changes have shown that they have no intention of doing better or do not understand how to do better. Either way, until they learn how to balance their own game appropriately, I cannot recommend playing it any more.
